  • One of the sexiest videos of all time. The other's got to be Pet Shop Boys' Being Boring.

  • New order é New order!!!

  • pense numa musica irada lembrando os bons e velhos tempos

  • One of my all time favourite videos, I would love to see it in better quality if possible.

  • One of the best videos ever filmed. The cinematography is stunning.

  • Muito doida esta musica, new order é new order!!!!

  • New Order has been putting out some of the greatest dance/alternative music for 30 years ! Definitely know what they are doing !

  • I adore this Vid, reminds me of being a teenager in Nice and my mothers friend paying Italian Gigolo's to come over from Vintemille to "entertain" her, sad but true and a bit funny looking back, love the light in S of F and this video captures the whole atmosphere so brilliantly! I recognise the guy sitting at the table lol Love it!

  • This video shows there is no ecape from pain. No matter how we try, pain and lonliness will be always our companions.

  • @MrFrankutube its like New Order..they had their ups and downs and yet they endured it..and became great.

  • @justus821 Yes indeed they are great.

  • The Price that a Mother Pays for A Child, Should Not BE In Vain... Kris was my Brother(Hood), and She is Beau - ti - Ful, Emily and Ivory. Right Paul ?

  • I can't believe I found this video! I took me years to find it. The reason, I saw it only once ages ago still in the 90s. didnt have time to check the name of the group and the name of the song. All I could remember was the video.

  • Great video!

  • i loved this song! my teen years flashing in front of me!

  • This song is awesome. Hell, the whole Republic album was awesome!

  • great song

as a small child isaw TRUE FAITH and blue monday 88 and crystal on mtv

then mtv played music ........... and not bad reality shows

  • wow. That was a long time ago. I'm not even that person anymore.

  • Love is NOT hate!

  • Yes. I'm in agreement with you.

  • me encanta

  • Bernard Sumner's vocals are stunningly haunted.

  • Its called reverb

  • what's the story of the vid?

  • pay for love

  • fantastic song, great video. love it.

  • my 2nd fave New Order track.

  • How great were New Order?

Listen to Ceremony - their finest in my opinion.

    John Chablo

  • Ceremony was actually a Joy Division song, wrote at the end of Ian's life. New Order put it on an album first so I guess it is their song now.

  • It was actually originally on Still by Joy Division, but the New Order version (12" single) still puts the hairs on my neck up!

  • sin duda la mejor canción lejísimo de New Order

  • very good classic

  • damn...makes me wanna go there and have a vacation (lol!!)

  • I have been allready its coool!!!!

  • ONE OF MY FAVORITES CLIPS OF 90s. money+sex+decadence=love it

  • @fredapc I love it too, my dear

  • I just loved this!

  • 3:07 smok'n babe slithers on by

  • This vid reminds me of most Chemical Brothers videos in the sense that band members appear in the video but so briefly that you really have to be with your eyes wide open to be able to see them. Gretaly done video. The cinematography, acting, all.

  • I was searching for this song so long, because I just have heard it sometimes in the radio and I have no TV.... So I never knew, who was the interpret of this song. For me, one of the best songs ever - also the vid is excellent! Nice to have YT!

  • True art this video, timeless, classic. Glad to have been from this era.

  • That's a guy isn't it in the long flowing dress in the foyer?

  • Don't know why love this video especially the queen throwing the napking rofl

  • What a cool video. Uplifting and fun. The storyline is awesome. The band members make appearances with Mr. Hook in the beginning. There is no band like New Order nowadays. I heard they split up which is sad.

  • One of my favorites Excellent Video Timeless

  • One of the most original and well "composed" videos that I ever seen. I really think that the creativity of this band reached the top with in the "backgroud" their fantastic tecno-pop of the eighties. I really love it !!!

  • Bernie is above the stair, Steve and Gillian at the hotel front door and Hooky is under the parasol at 01'05''

  • New Order's music is timeless!! Great music always is!!!

  • come on!!!! old ones stil the best

  • i love this tune top one

  • How sad. People so lonely and lost in such a beautiful place.

  • ENDTIMEDECEPTION(dot)NING(dot)COM

Nice site that seeks to awaken people to the truth

  • The viseo is nice, song is fair.

  • nice sunny video,great song

  • WOW! Brings back great Summertime memories! What a huge hit! I love the stedicam shots!

    Peace is RAD!

  • Does anyone notice everytime a member of New Order shows up in the shot, you will see someone with a camera.

Last time I believe all members of "New Order" appeared in a music video.

  • They did appear again on the "Jetstream" video, obviously, without Gillian ñ_ñ

  • That dance sound went well into the 90s by the sound of this. But in there newer albums, thers no more dance music, just more pop stuff. Cool i love new order.

  • When I finally got my computer a year ago this was the first music video I watched. Thanx

  • Good choice for first vid on new pc!!!

  • I saw this MTV years ago and loved it so much bought the album. Subsequently I've been to Cannes and though a lovely city, I could not forget the seamy underbelly of Cannes portrayed by this video. Also visited the Carlton Hotel which is the place featured in the vid. Notice that the video is one long seamless shot - classic.

  • although it seems like it's one seamless shot, there's actually 3 cuts in the video. look at it again and you'll find them. agree it's still one of their greatest videos though.

  • You are absolutely right!!! Problem was I wrote comment on it from memory of seeing on MTV all those years ago & I could of sworn it was one shot only but I think I only saw the latter part of the vid as I only ever saw it once on MTV until again on YouTube. But it is for me their greatest video. Funny thing with me is that I was never really into New Order music but this did it for me.

  • It's one take but multiple shots.

  • what is the seamy part? Is the place crawling with prostitutes? Seems really exotic to people in the US.

    Must be expensive to stay.

  • Very very expensive ; there are high quality prostitutes but loads of gigolos for rich older women. Like the way the band is sprinkled amongst the people the camera passes .

  • It´s actually 4 cuts...

  • thanks so much for this

  • One of my top 3 songs ever. It just means a lot. Strangely enough I have never seen it's accompanying video until now.

"I turn sideways to the sun, keep my thoughts from everyone" is one of the 90's best lyrics.

  • Someone should put up the World in Action remix of this song, you think this track is good, the World in Action remix is siiiiiick! :-)

  • I just heard this track in a comic bookshop -of all places and the moment I heard it I liked it...ALOT. When I got back I just had to look for it, right here on youTube. Sure enough, here it is.

  • that's the prize of love. great, great song

  • *price

  • One of my fave New Order songs. Brings back memories.

  • New Order always cool concept, this vid no exception & 1 mine fav... Oh yea can feel it, Tx 4 post!

  • I think is alright! I like it! ... =]

  • wonderful video

  • great vid

  • so love them.

  • Great video..I love this band and this song is one of my favorites.

  • Lilly

You have great tastes in music...

  • thanks gary

    lilly

  • it never ceases to amaze me how New Order rose from the tragic ashes of Joy Division. bands who lose their lead singers rarely bounce back with as much success or ...reinvention.

  • I think it probably had a lot to do with MDMA.

  • whas that?

  • Drugs, aka Ecstacy pills I believe

  • why do you think so?

  • Just being funny. But they spent a lot of time in Chicago during the early house days and that probably inspired Blue Monday and the dance style they adopted in the 80's.

  • my favourite film clip by far.....LOVE

  • where is marcelo?

and the blonde girl big tets of fellini?

    have you seen tony curtis?

  • la mejor cancion de la vida, si no te gusta es que no sabes el precio del amor.

  • Absolutely don't get this video. Anyone care to explain what it means?

  • Love it! Great music and the vid..So perfect. My respect.

  • Hooky is to the left at 1:05.

  • whops, i meant left.

  • I found bernie up the stair, steve and gillian at the hotel front door..anyone note where Hooky is in the MTV?

  • to the right at 01:05

  • what a great song. rite up there with all their great hits like blue monday, true faith, round & round, regret.

  • Amen to that! Peace:)

  • awesome steadicam op, excellent dop, amazing director, perfect song! what a video! one of my alltime favorites, ex-aequo with black-wonderful life (hail to the czar of the bizarr!)

  • probably inspired by newton.. ive seen it just now for first time and its fokin great!! i love NO as well..

  • Beautiful place, sad and scary people... wonderful! Thanks!

  • Anything from "Republic" is tops on my list. I crank this mutha on my car's CD player all the time. Long Live the New Order!!!!

  • New order made a lot of good songs which became successfull because of this i cannot understand why New order are reduced to BLUE MONDAY

  • i know what you are saying ffm20zaheri but the real fans know different.

i think if you asked the average guy to name any new order songs,it would be blue monday or the world cup song (world in motion)

  • Although New Order have many great songs, Blue Monday was so darn innovative at the time it came out. Kraftwerk of all people, had to visit NO's studio to find out for themselves what equipment NO was using to make such new sound. They went away disappointed because there was nothing special in their equipment. It just shows that NO can create great sound out of ordinary things. Blue Monday was WAY before its time--it changed music forever.

  • Amen :)

  • I love Brilliance!!!

  • brilliant song.

    x

  • I remember the song in 1993

  • "...all the guys who really have the money are too old to have good time with it..."

  • That callgirl is HOT! That old man will die of a heartattack. lmao...those legs...wow. Wonder what the price is for that...lmao.

  • The gal at the very end reminds me of an older gal in a painting called "And into the world came a soul named Ida". Heckuva vid!

  • This song JAMS! Makes me want to DANCE and I dance like shit!

  • nice, carlton hotel

  • new order world, world new order, order world new, new world order? huh, what...??

  • This video is so brilliant! Everything about it is so perfectly executed--the photography, the actors, the setting, the song. It is really a mini-movie. It ranks up there with the craftsmanship of a Minnelli musical during his heyday at MGM. But I gotta say, every year as I get older, this vid is more and more haunting!!!

  • great song and brilliant video!!

  • This is a beautiful song. I haven't heard it in years.

  • Makes me want to book the next flight from Amsterdam to Nice...

  • I don't get it.

  • classic song. love new order :)

  • Love this video - one of my all time favourites. The steadicam work and choreography is beautiful!
