Hi Harvey, I use my pipe case tobacco pouch for very small amounts as it dries out pretty fast if you leave it in there for any length of time. Otherwise I will just take a tin with me.
I order my tobacco in bulk (both from Boswells and Cornell & Diehl) and it comes in ziploc plastic bags. I just take the plastic bag...now, when I order tobacco by the pound, it gets kinda hard to haul a whole pound of tobacco around all the time so I do have a pipe pouch but I'm always afraid it won't hold enough tobacco to make it through a whole day! LOL
@superpelic it's really a cheap one... about 10 bucks from Chine ha ha ha, I was using a pencil case before... so a HUGE improvement ha ha ha! Thanks for the comment,
I fill my pipe before I head out to smoke. If i'm going to carry the pipe around with tobacco in the bowl, I'll add a wind cap. If I'm out the whole day, I might bring a tin with me. Now, my trip to Africa will be the first time I take the pipe on a longer trip. To be perfectly honest, I'm not really sure how I will bring my tobaccos... I want to travel as light as possible, so bulky tins are out of the question.
Iwan Ries is a great company. I've ordered several times from them and asked them while on the phone how to pronounce it! LOL its actually sounds like Evan! (Its a German/Yiddish thing).
I just use a ziploc baggie for going out or over a weekend. I'd like to pic up a nice leather pipe bag though.
@astroman2112 Thanks for the correction James (I'm always in need of it, feel free to improve my pronunciation anytime!! SERIOUSLY). The only problem with my pipe pouch is the a little bigger pipes don't fit.
@hjrosasq I had to ask them because I always hear it pronounced differently on YT! LOL, I was saying it the same way as you were too before I asked them.
I've been using small old tins, like the Univ. Flake or Capstan tins, but they rust and are only good for a couple of months. Now, in the cold weather, as clothes have more and bigger pockets, I'll be carrying the tin of whatever tobacco I want to smoke (rectangular tins are always easier to carry than round ones, though).
I need to find a pouch to carry some pipes and tobacco in. Not sure if I will order one or check the local stores and see if I can find something there.
I have read that a small travel bag from the luggage section works great and is cheaper. I will make a video about what I find.

Where did you get the IRC bags? They look good.

I really only ever smoke at home mate. But if I go away for a few days I generally buy a tin and stick all the gubbins in an old toilet bag.

@bahumutx I did the same quest months ago, there are not too expensive, but for me, they were. I picked this one from China for less than 10 bucks.

The same as yours, in a tobacco pouch.
