  • MASTER!!!!!

  • @rodrigojgozalbez Thanks Rodo!

  • Nice song an nice charango ? Is it a Hatun charango like Federico Tarazona´s? Kind regards !

  • @arribasp Thanks for your comment. This is not a Hatun charango. This charango has a total of 14 strings.

  • It seems to be more in the Argentinian Ronrocco range in pitch, but it retains the timber of the smaller charango.

It looks flat-backed like a chillador. Did you have it made in Peru, or somewhere else?

  • @vibratingstring Glad you're commenting on the sound! Timbre was the most important attribute of the charango I wanted to retain. So keeping the dimension of body as close to the original as possible was crucial. This charango sports a flat back and was built for me in Peru. Right now I'm experimenting with a tuning of 1 whole step below a normal charango plus a high octave note 'g' doubled up with a lower octave on the last string.

  • Love it!

  • @vibratingstring Thanks so much!

  • Nice! For the ignorants like myself...would you give us some details about what's a extended scale charango?

  • @conecito Thanks for your comment. This charango has 14 strings instead of 10. This means that there are more notes available so it is said to have an 'extended' scale. One that extends beyond the usual scale. Hope this helps! Kind regards.
