  • It's amazing. And I don't understand why it was not well known. Thanks for sharing

  • @GypsySerai

It's also amazed me too. An absolute classic of the genre ... it ticks every box. Thank you for commenting. : )

  • very nice track, never heard it before. LOVE IT!

Christy Cobalt here, was a member of the Spikedrivers in the 1970's.

Are there any of my bandmates out there? Larry Ray, Jim Thunder, Don Hill?

Ran into one of the Horny Toads out here in CA...

Thanks alot for your feedback. It's great when these threads can maybe start something ... almost like a forum. :) btw I continue to be in awe of this song.

  • Strange mysterious sounds is even better!

  • @MrClearlight

I would say different rather than better, but it is certainly a great, great song in its own right. :)

  • Strange mysterious sounds?

  • hey there - - Richard Keelan here . . . i played bass on Often I Wonder, first solo

was Sid Brown, second solo by Ted Lucas. modal music ! ... hell yeah !

hello to Maruga . . . yep, we all learned that amphetamines and tempo and meter

really didn't play well together ... hah ! hello to the Lucas clan in the Motor City, too...

  • @richkleen

Lovely to hear from you Richard and thank you for your comments here. This song is just so damn good!!! ... and is rightly regarded as one of the first true classics of the 'genre'.Good people make good music. Take care and thanks for being part of such a gift to the world. :)

  • Saw Richard Keelan in the west end of Toronto , Ontario , Canada, last winter. He was running an open mike night at a small club called The Troubador. Club has now closed, not sure what Richard is doing, hope he is well.

  • !!man!! what a mindblowingly good track, Marys voice 1000 miles out in open space raining down pure vocal mana from the skies, wow, I cant believe I never heard this band before ..... and those haircuts are probably the most progressive haircuts I ever did see lol :)

  • Yes one of the definitive songs of the genre.

I'm many years listening to such music and I have to admit that I only discovered this song a couple of years ago.Big gap in my 'education'

  • Nice Video...kudos from the Lucas clan

  • Mindblowing it sure is.A much under-known band.

Can't beat a good haircut either.

    :)

  • A very COOL band
