´Iconoclasm` is fighting against cherished beliefs or destruction of a culture's religious symbols. I think the deeper meaning of the whole song is that people shouldn´t believe everything the government or the church is saying and make his/her own opinion about the principles of life.

Well...that´s my opinion.
