  • boil the water to remove dissolved air, so that your ice ball will be crystal clear.

  • @darine39 It takes longer to melt, keeping the drink cold, and keeping it from getting watered down.

  • Don't talk about the Patterson House's attention to detail with all of the air bubbles that you leave in your ice. In Japan you would be a laughing stock. Japanese ice balls are perfectly clear.
