Zune HD is more about music right now than anything else. I love it! I could care less about apps, but I know a lot of people have apps at the top of their list when looking for a device, I just care about how the software looks, navigates, and the music, baby:)

@chucrut111 The battery lasts 33 hours for audio playback, and 8, 10, or 12 hours of video playback based on the 16Gb, 32GB, and 64GB models, respectively. About the games, though, I'm not sure.

This is truly an amazing piece of technology. I really hope the new 7 mobile phones are going to have Zune's functions as well. I have been using my old windows mobile phone for pretty much the same things for the last 3 years, but that costed me a lot of software changes till I got some decent configuration. Now I see it is all here and perfectly assembled. Except for being smaller it is pretty obvious what made Apple come up with their good for nothing iPad

Depends on what you're looking for. For example, the iPod Touch doesn't have 720p video out, or an OLED screen.

you don't have that many games or apps at the Moment but considering Microsoft is already in a gameing area as well as Media (MSN)

both the zune hd and ipod touch are very good mp3 players and to be honest the hd can't be compared to a iphone.

Both devices have advantages and disadvantages and both are very good.

Not only packaging, but many other things as well. In Scottsdale, Close to where I live, Microsoft opened their first "Microsoft store." I saw it and it looks almost EXACTLY like an Apple store. Same layout, a "Help bar," along with more. I just think its weird how they copy them, yet can bash them.

I'm not saying that Apple has not copied anything of Microsofts or any other company, just that Microsoft must really like Apple's way of thinking/design.

When you were going around the device you mentioned the "audio rocker". It's actually not for changing the volume but when pressed will actually bring up the media controls over the screen you are on.

even though im an apple guy and love the iphone/ipod touch....this quite impressed me!! you know..i'd actually buy one of those if there was no iphone..!

but..everyone has to admit that there are quite a few details which seem familiar from the ipod touch/iphone starting with the packaging (seriously ms??) and even the connecter looks kinda like the apple one..

nevertheless..seems to be a great product..!
