@x33mmm Kick boxers can kick and box powerfully....they will knock out a MMA guy who only knows how to grab, hold on and roll on the ground....don't get me wrong, MMA is not easy, it's rough but not very sporty, it has had a huge hype behind it to make it popular but it's always the same thing - roll on the ground....kick boxing is pretty technical and looks sporty...anyway this guy will eat many MMA guys...

Bullshit!, if u train a kickboxer fighter in ground game he will be more effective then a wrestler that learns kickboxing. The greatest mma fighters are the best primarily because of their stand up game (fedor, Silva, etc.) Look at Overeem, he was primarily a kickboxer and now the best mma fighter in the world (don'believe me? watch what he will do in strikeforce, and then hopefully UFC). Besides in a street fight you wont be as effective in ground game becuase u can elbow someone the fuck out
@Ericwvm mma is harder than just kickboxing even if you are not good boxer but if you are good grappler you can always win the fight on the ground thats not true if you are good boxer but weak on ground you will ket your ass beaten badr hari played once mma and lost for 30 second he will never repeat that in mma and in real fight is better to have grappling skills it is easy to punch but if you are tall and has no grappling you will eat a lot of beat :) mma is more complex than any other sport
@x33mmm What you say is true, BUT its really easy to learn some basic ground game and compete with wrestlers. For grapplers to learn stand up is WAY harder. Thtas why the great mma-fighters have to be natural stand ups. Otherwise you will only be able to beat the guys who have NO experience at ALL in ground game. The conclusion is that stand up is more important then grappling. Plus mma is gay because it wont work in reallife, and guys wrestle with eachother on the ground. Thats why u like it

@x33mmm u are making assumptions here. Yes i train muay thai and I train mma, so I know what I am talking about. Now you say they are equal and before u say grappling is more important, u are not really consequent. Maybe Badr would lose yes but the majority fighters will win. MMA is not harder then MUAY THAI and there are far more participants in muay thai then mma. In every real fight you wont get a chance to do a lock or bar, and only ground and pound is important which any one can learn.
@x33mmm Besides, if you have a good knowledge about clinching you can easily avoid being thrown on the ground. In mma I can use the clinch to avoid takedowns or even make my own takedown. And I cant name one mma-fighter who has decent muay thai technique, only good stand up. If you look at ramba somdet (thai champion in mma) you can see he adapted his style very good in mma and is champion now. grappling is less important. The stand up game is something you have to learn from young age or you wont have the refelxes technique and timing. You can never learn that. Grappling is something you can learn, and at least the basics to hold your ground against mma fighters. I can bet Ill knock you out before you have me on the ground, wanna try??

Badr have been in a mma fight but he went only once just to try how it feels like, but he didn't like the groundfights cause he don't like to grab men he likes only todestroy things with his fists and kicks of fury that's one. Another thing mma fights are different drom k1 fights, K1 one is highlevel kicktechnics and fist combination. MMA is also heavy but on a diffrent way.

Bullshit!, if u train a kickboxer fighter in ground game he will be more effective then a wrestler that learns kickboxing. The greatest mma fighters are the best primarily because of their stand up game (fedor, Silva, etc.) Look at Overeem, he was primarily a kickboxer and now the best mma fighter in the world (don'believe me? watch what he will do in strikeforce, and then hopefully UFC). Besides in a street fight you wont be as effective in ground game becuase u can elbow someone the fuck out

@x33mmm What you say is true, BUT its really easy to learn some basic ground game and compete with wrestlers. For grapplers to learn stand up is WAY harder. Thtas why the great mma-fighters have to be natural stand ups. Otherwise you will only be able to beat the guys who have NO experience at ALL in ground game. The conclusion is that stand up is more important then grappling. Plus mma is gay because it wont work in reallife, and guys wrestle with eachother on the ground. Thats why u like it

@x33mmm u are making assumptions here. Yes i train muay thai and I train mma, so I know what I am talking about. Now you say they are equal and before u say grappling is more important, u are not really consequent. Maybe Badr would lose yes but the majority fighters will win. MMA is not harder then MUAY THAI and there are far more participants in muay thai then mma. In every real fight you wont get a chance to do a lock or bar, and only ground and pound is important which any one can learn.

@x33mmm Besides, if you have a good knowledge about clinching you can easily avoid being thrown on the ground. In mma I can use the clinch to avoid takedowns or even make my own takedown. And I cant name one mma-fighter who has decent muay thai technique, only good stand up. If you look at ramba somdet (thai champion in mma) you can see he adapted his style very good in mma and is champion now. grappling is less important. Where are you from?, maybe you would like to spar with me some time

@x33mmm You can learn how to punch and you can even learn how to kick (a littlebit, becuase you wont be able to master the technique) but that doesnt mean you know how to fight. The stand up game is something you have to learn from young age or you wont have the refelxes technique and timing. You can never learn that. Grappling is something you can learn, and at least the basics to hold your ground against mma fighters. I can bet Ill knock you out before you have me on the ground, wanna try??

In the mma matches they were able to get me on the ground yes but not submit me. And I know some ground game and its tough and heavy but not difficult, very easy to learn. Thats why fighters like Overeem were able to become one of the best MMA fighters jackass. Also Bas Rutten and other fighters.

They both are similar difficulty levels , but mma fighters cannot stand up a full round without taking a breather lying on a guy .. i like both and boxing equally so i'm not biast but i find kick boxing more exciting ! it doesn't always come to the ground in a street fight if you k.o someone with a kick, elbow or one punch is all u need with there accuracy ! distance mate and timing ! i like both :)
