this song is one of the reasons shane left the band, the rest of the band wanted to "expand their musical horizons" he wanted to stick to what worked, but the rest of them felt thy were too good for irish music so they started making him sing over crap like this. his voice does sound beautiful though, and he was pretty deep into eastern philosopphy. How do I know? read a drink with shane mcgowan, his awesome autobiography co-written with his wife victoria.

In response to the comment about his teeth. A lot of singers are afraid to have work done on their mouths as it can easily alter their singing voice. Freddy Mercury was worried about it too after Julie Andrews of all people warned him. She had extensive work done on her crooked teeth and said she could never sing as well after.
