It's a choice for glasses right? I remember seeing a video of somebody playing with an alternate costume without glasses.

@darkhokage Yep. When you scroll down in the costume menu, below the actual costumes, you get a choice between no accessory, their glasses, or the hair ornament. They're all totally optional.

Can't guarantee it, since I haven't tried it myself, but give it a go. If not, try posting and asking or something. It should work, though, no reason not to.

And yes, patch contents works with all region Wiis (though since it's NTSC colour format, you need to check you have an NTSC-compatible TV, or unless you screw around with it it'll just display in black and white.)

You know, I really hope they make a Fatal Frame V, and if they do, they keep this feature. It's handy when selecting what you want your characters to wear without having to actually go into the game and do all sorts of crazy maneuvering just to see what the whole thing looks like. Plus, FF4's costumes are wonderful. I'm really happy that, unlike 3 with Rei's photographer outfit, 4 gave the ability to unlock Choushiro's police officer outfit.

@kongyewjoe No, the costumes are different in every game. They're only in #4. You can use the other costumes in those games, though.

That sucks. It happens to a lot of games like Cynthia's ghost in Silent Hill 4. I feel like the developers are being a bit lazy here. It's just a simple Sprite edit. :(

Why didn't Choushiro attack the other girls but Madoka does? They're both ghosts, aren't they?

@FinalKH - Yep, except he doesn't realize it until his last chapter. Besides, he's a "good" ghost - Madoka's just affected by the "curse" on her, which he doesn't have.

And yeah, it does seem kind of silly- especially to give her an alt costume (a rather nice one, too) and then only use it for a couple of minutes of the whole game...

Does it ever explain why there are "good" ghosts like Madoka's mom? Why didn't she attack her daughter the same way Ruka's dad did? It would be nice if the developers explain some plotholes in the storyline. For example, why did the ghosts attack Choushiro if he's also a ghost? Even if they attack him, how can he die? He's already dead.

Yeah, because you need to use the clear menu from a save file to do it.

The Costume page set-up on this one is slightly different- the costumes are at the top, and then the accessories (Hair Ornament for Ruka and Misaki, and the glasses for those two and Choushiro) are underneath. Once you've got an accessory equipped it stays as you change costume, and prior to this video I had forgotten to remove the glasses xD

As long as you get ALMOST every vanishing ghost and 4 or 5 bloom (blurry/purple face mode) shots you can get it on your first playthrough, if you wanted to.

LMFAO!! So there really IS a ZSS costume!! xD!! I had seen concept art for it a long time ago, but i had never seen it in a vid. xD!! I saw a screenshot with a Luigi costume too, so I'm pretty sure that one's real. You prolly got it in your other vid. ^_^

I hope this game goes westward someday, but I want Fragile more than this one.
