Thank you for posting! Do you have any tips/suggestions regarding flat ironing? I did the comb chasing method, and even with doing small sections, my hair still came out puffy. I washed my hair w/a moisture shampoo and deep conditioned w/a satin bonnet dryer. Used a creme to blowdry and a spray (w/o alcohol) to flat iron. Not sure if this is what contributed to the puffiness. Thanks again & take care.

@bbnne11 Yes, I did. I do a hot oil treatment as a pre-poo, and then after washing, I deep conditioned it for a good while as well. It was super soft and moisturized prior to blow drying and flat-ironing. I used grapeseed oil, and then Biosilk as a heat protectant. A friend gave me some input that problem may have been the Biosilk. What do you think about that?

@lanicert hmm well I don't want to say that was the problem BUT I've known certain cones to be drying to the hair. Like "demthicone" its known to burn the hair. I had experienced problems with that type of cone specifically. It burned my hair and left if highly porous. Thats why I dont use cones for of that nature grapeseed oil is suffice in itself.

I have that same flat iron! It's excellent. It's true, it isn't necessary to fry your hair at a high heat setting to straighten it. Your hair turned out beautifully.
