Ever since I was young I've wanted to become a Life guard/Coast Guard Swimmer. I learned to swim when I was 4, took my survival swiming course at 10 and passed. Water is all I know and saving peoples lives is what makes my life worth living in my eyes. I've taken so many swimming courses and medical courses, in England the coast guards are locals to the coast and volanteer. There's no academy or anything no schools. I would love to become a member of the USCG.

Not to be smug but Semper Paratus means "Always Ready" It is also used by several military units around the world The fire fighters swift water rescue school on Ontario Canada and my family and company crest include "Je Suis Pret" I am ready.

I had to use our coast guard to evacuate a friend after a mishap: Nothing serious but it would have been if they were not there.

I have also heard the phrais, "You have to go, you don't have to come back."

I have the highest regard for the Coast Guard.

I'm a trainee as a salesman for forwarding and logistics services on a normal day, but if it must be and there is an alert I am a member of the german federal agency for technical relief.

@biomarburg Coast guard doesn't just do saving. Do you remember the Samoan disaster last year about? Well the coast guard was the first one there to provide food and water. They also stop smugglers from crossing the boarders with people and items. Then they save people drowning. All important.
