I have only watched the small clips of this movie that they have on youtube . looks like a good movie . I looked it up because I know the man who plays the mobster guy that gets shot.
some years ago i switched on tv at 3 in the night..and stopped at these movie.. after a few moments i was sure.. thats something great..
since than one of my favorites..has anyone some informations about the singer in the bar : dean sheldon?..i really like these songs...but could never find something about him nor some music..
yeah this one is really really good. the scene where frankie kills the mobster is incredibly powerful with those alternate fast pov shots. it really hurts! and allen baron is one of the coolest ever

I have seen this movie 3 times in the past 2 weeks...it has taken over top spot as my favorite movie - replacing Out of the Past.

All I can say is thank God for the folks at Criterion for making such shamefully overlooked films like this one available to the general audience.
