  • military or tenacious...

  • I can tell you like spyderco

  • hey :) is the spyderco karambit C84P discontinued???? if not is it hard to find????? thxxs:)

  • Hey bro.... nice vid!! real nice knifes!

  • nice background song!!!

  • nice set of spydys

  • nice tunes, nice knives!

  • Impressive collection. You know quality knives for sure.

  • the eighth one is pretty bad ass but the fith one is just plane scary

  • Very nice collection...

  • how much for that poliwog

  • i want the Dejavu

  • These are awesome! But I loled when I saw the Karambit... sooo wierd.

  • Wow now everybody got at least 1 spyderco knife lol they are really popular now eh?

  • It looks like you have a fixation for knives that look a certain way. I think it's a man thing, some like blondes, some like em tall, when it comes to knives...I think it's all good.

  • Outstanding collection.

  • nice, every1 watch my knife video its good

  • ur rich!

  • Nitwit I love your videos but the music in this ones GOTTA GO. Some Metalica or something fast would really go good with them bad ass knives!

  • the music is perfect. sounds like mafia for me ^^

  • Come on, man. It's been a year since your last video. I know you've gotten some new knives since then. Show those bad boys off!

  • wonderful music.,what is it?

  • Hey Nitwitbeer, I was wondering if you knew anything about United Cutlery and how good the quality of their products is. I'm thinking about getting a double edged back up/boot knife from them. I was also thinking about getting the Gerber Guardian back up. Also, do you know if Double Edged blades are illegal to carry around, like in California or Texas? Anyways, thanks for your opinion!!!

  • Im not Nitwitbeer, but I do know that double edges are legal to carry as long as its not over 3 inches (states law)and United Cutlery is a very good cheap brand but Gerber beats them by a long shot. The Gerber Guardian is a very nice blade, but if you want a more sturdy blade I recommend CRKT AG Russell Sting, its also a double sided Boot knife/thorw knife.

  • cool stuff!

  • love the blues song in the background, what's it called and who made it?

  • It's an old classic called Saint Johns infirmary blues, played by Louis Armstrong.

  • i love the spyderco knives there great

  • cool knifes dude

  • you have good knives

  • really nice colection man, i enjoyed the vids. you planning on getting any more?

  • ALWAYS! I always had nice kitchen knives but I've been focusing on that area in recent months with different Santoku and Chef knives as well as assorted paring boning sliced utility by Global, J.A. Henckels PRO, Kershaw, Forschner, etc. Spent a lot!

  • ..also got the new leatherman skeletool and the cx model and a few other folding knives. I didn't like either of the Leatherman's and for the first time actually sent both back. My leatherman wave is still my fav multitool and is still goind strong. I have a pic of it and my SOG and other multitools on my vid 1 collection.

  • that dejavoo always reminds me of a spyderco knife, just looks like one

  • Yea, the BM 740 is very nice...been carrying it for a while now. I particularly like the way the handle flares out; it rides low in pocket but it's so easy to grab that flared gaurd. Fit and finnish couldn't be better. It carries nicely for such a large knife.

  • SOG trident tf-1 is a beast of a knife, what do you use this for ??

  • not really

  • What do you think of the black tini coating on the sog knife? Does it get scrached or is it hard as steel? nice collection btw, i'm jalous!

  • You got the best knife collection i ever seen...i live in germany and here knives are very expensive...do you also have the spydcro civilian? i like the cold steel karambit a lot...i want to have it...anyway great collection

  • I've got a Benchmade 740 on the way. What's your impression of it? It seems like a very comfortable knife. I was torn between it, and an Al Mar SERE. I'll probably get the SERE down the road. Nice vid...Love the music.

  • It's been great so far. I like everything about it.. blade size, ergonomics, appearance. I prefer tip-up carry based on habits. Solid and smooth action and a knife that I'll have for a lifetime. You made a great purchase. Not familiar with the SERE but it gets great reviews and I'd like to check it out next time I step into a shop. Thanks.

  • mmmm, I would have gone with the SERE, BM nice, but not Al Mar quality. The SERE is tougher. the 745 is very nice though.

  • How are your feels about poliwog? Any pros and cons?

    Thanks!

  • AnttiL,

The Poliwig has the unique the ball-lock and design. Holding the knife places your index finger very close the knife edge using the choil. That and the wide design of the knife took some getting used too. The clip is very tight and it's design makes it difficult on thicker jean pockets but overall the knife is great, little heavy, edge sharpens very easily.

  • I just ordered the knife few days back. I like the design, and I love the idea of thumb close to edge. And good to hear about the weight, I love weight in knife!

  • I love the music! I love the Kerambit! I personally carry the Emerson but the Spyderco shares many similarities. Great vid.

  • I swear you and Holdenccc must be long lost brothers or something, very stylish Spyderco video with awesome music.

  • wmpyr.

Thanks! Holdenccc has a lot more vids then I remember. He's got some nice knives with great shots/music.

  • nice collection man, would like to have the karambit

  • what is the use for the spyderco karambit

  • astinos23,

Removing food particles from my teeth

  • karambit is for combat, you search karambit on youtube and you'll see

  • not enough benchmades

  • ditto

  • you realy seem to like combat folders are you a hunter

the spidercos do look pretty comfortable however

  • Mostly used for day to day tasks along with other outdoor activities. I have a few fixed blades that would more suitable for hunting on my other vids (1&2).

  • can anyone tell me the name of that "claw" knife ?

  • I cant believe i wrote that when name of the knifes are in the movie. OMG LOL

  • Yeah, they call it EPIC FAIL ;)

  • =) just there to help.

The Karambit is a sharp little devil and I have little experience with using these types of blades. I'd suggest practicing and researching before using a Karambit.

  • Hah, even the best make stupid mistakes. :)

  • wow the claw thing was nice!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • cool knives!

  • Nice knives love that ATS 34

  • notwitbeer thanks for the advice about the spyderco police and military i went with what you said and got them both i like them alot but id have to agree with you i like the police better do you have any expirience with the sog tomcat 3.0?

  • DolbenRules,

    Cool.

I don't have any experience with the SOG Tomcat 3.0, however mrskillz001 is a knife enthusiast here and has had one for awhile (see mrskillz001 vids).

  • i love my sog trident but i was thinking about getting either a spyderco military or police nitwitbeer wich do you prefer or recomened

  • DolbenRules,

Between the two I like the feel of the Police better, even though it's heavier. Two completely different knives and my Military is an older version. They since have changed the blade steel not sure about the ergonomics or lock. In my pocket for edc though I'd take the military. Hell just get em both =)

  • thanks heaps for this vid dude. i now know what knife i want to get my girl and what SoG knife im getting. the trident. great size strong knife.

  • How do you like that Dejavoo? I might be picking one up. Just curious what you thought.

  • coletrane811,

I was very impressed with it and purchased it when it first was released. Great design, quality and feel. The G10 handle fits awesome, great s30v steel, solid opening/lock, and no blade play. The designer BOB LUM just passed 12-4-07 and what a legacy he left. Well respected in the knife community. Just google his name. 100% recommend the knife.

  • spyderco's aight. they're handles are too fat.

  • i don't like spyderco

  • Why

  • they're just not really good looking and i don't like the feel of it. i don't know, it's just me

  • ... What the hell did i say why about? Goddamn youtube comments doesn't show correctly.

  • im thinking of getting either the sog trident to the twitch xl which one do you think is beter?

  • I'd take the Trident between those two knives. It feels better in my hand and I use it much more than the twitchXL. I like the clip, lock, weight, etc of the Trident.

  • k thanks

  • btw, the music is PHENOM I'd give you 10 stars for choosing that if I could :)

  • Nicely done man. Spyderco seems best. I have the Civilian, it's awesome. Native, Endura coming soon. Unfortunately, I pay much more for them in Romania, and I can't really afford. But I still want more:)

  • So do you use those knives at fishing? hunting? knife fighting/self-defence? or do you just like knives :)

  • Varied utility and all around basic tasks and outdoor activities. I have more than I need but appreciate the design and function of each as great tools. Plus I enjoy the ownership and meeting others who have the similar interests.

  • I like knives too very much :) i use them at fishing, hunting and of course knife is good tool to open ammoboxes (at shooting-range and if you have ammoboxes with you at hunting trips) because they usually have that annoying tape wich you have to rip off before you can open the box and they sure give you hard time if you try with your fingers.

  • Very nice collection, I am a spydy guy myself, but I was wondering in your opinion which of your knives has the fastest/easiest opening???

  • Hard to specifically say but for a complete new user handling the knives the Benchmade axis and SOG arc locks are extremely fast and easy to open AND close one-handed. The Spyderco's are insanely fast as well.

  • Also the assisted knives are worth looking at as well. SOG and Kershaw make a few that open very easily and fast. I have a few SOG's in the vids (flashII, Twitch XL and II, Tridents).

  • nice collection and good video, thanks for posting!

  • Awsome collection you have there. I also have a Millie and an Adventura (and a few others) ;)

  • Thanks! Good choice in Spyderco knives they sure have a nice variety to choose from. The Adventura is being discontinued soon.

  • Bellissimi, complimenti. Very good knives.

  • wow :)

  • Hey, hows the Adventura? It just got discontinued, so I might pick one up...

  • It's a slim, smaller size folder that feels real solid. Has a smooth action like all the other stainless Spyderco's and is comfortable. It also offers 4 different clip positions (I prefer tip-up carry).

  • It's disc. ? Crap! I like that, and i don't have much money right now.

  • yep, it, the Manix line, and a bunch'a others have been disco'd. :-(

  • LordSpyderco, Is the Manix Disco??

  • Yes it is, both baby Manix, and daddy manix. :-(

  • Why do they still show on Spydercos website?? I better pick up the big Daddy. LOL!

  • If you look on there forum, Tazkristi, a Spydero employee, has posted the disco list. They'll probab;y take it off once the new 2008 catalogs

    comes out.

  • What song is that playing in the background? At first it almost sounded a little like summertime then i heard lois armstrong and its obviously not that. Anyhoo cool jazz tune and cool knives.

  • LOUIS ARMSTRONG - St James Infirmary

    posted 6 comments down =)

  • Cool tune!

  • WOOO, part 3!!

  • You have a amazing collection, I'm just getting into collecting, I have a Ka-Bar D2 Extreme Fixed Blade a Sog Flash 2 and a Sog Pentagon Elite 1. I'm considering an Spyderco Volpe C99 or a CRKT Full Throttle between the tow brand which one would you suggest?

  • I prefer the Spyderco line of knives more than CRKT. However the CRKT offers some great value and awesome knives as well. I haven't seen either of those knives in person but there is a vid on the Spyderco Volpe on youtube, user is sgi1972.

  • The CRKT Full Throttle looks almost like my SOG Twitch II Black Tie (pt1 vid). AUS8 with spring assist blade. I like a little larger blade but I EDC the smaller blades often as well. Good luck, let me know what you decide and how you like your new blade. thanks!

  • I know this is a little off subject, but what song is this in the video.

  • LOUIS ARMSTRONG - St James Infirmary

  • you have the best collection! do you have any experiences with kershaw knives?

  • Thanks! Unfortunately not. I started my SOG ownership first and the Kershaw line has a lot of similar knives. If I do purchase it will probably be from their KAI Zero Tolerance lineup.

  • I don't have a hands on experience with either. mrskillz001 posts on here and has both ZT0200 blade and the Tomcat. I'd ask someone who has one or both of the blades for a recommendation. I like the reviews of both, but would rather own the ZT0301.

  • lol, thanks for the referral ;)

  • Great Video! Thanks for putting in the Trident in there! Is that your second trident? Looks pretty cool. Keep up the good work!

  • backkick320,

Thanks! Yes, purchased a second Trident. Still using my original often, the new one will stay mint.

  • Hahaha, that's great. Congratulations on the new knives.

  • projek,

Thanks. I've seen a few ZT blades that I like. 0300 especially. Some good reviews of this knife are on youtube - customtacticals is the user.

  • Congratulations for the collection and thanks for sharing!!!

  • Great vid! How do you like your Spyderco Karambit? Great music makes me want to spark up a Montecristo media noche and pour some Talisker.

  • thanks, lol.

The Karambit's blade size was smaller than I expected. It feels solid in the hand and flicks open easily. I just purchased it so the closing with the liner lock is very stiff. So far so good but I doubt it'll see and 'real' use.

  • Should correct myself. The Spyderco Karambit uses more of a framelock. Not a linerlock - Spyderco military. The pivot screw is large and I'm still working it in and adjusting torque to allow quicker action.

  • Hopefully it won't see "real" use, hehe. Nice collection, thanks for sharing.
