I hope that the Hawaiins do get back to their sense of community and not take on the evils that were brought over by the fast life of the mainland. The people of Hawaii are beautiful and their love of Hawaii is respectable. I just hope they can understand and respect that those who are not like them also want to love Hawaii. Yes there is the developers who seem so greedy. We have that everywhere but the mainland shouldnt be judged as the same. Your words are heartfelt -peace and God Bless.
Funny how u speak of honor, exceptance etc when you are so hateful to those who are different from yourselves. No blessings will come to those when u allow racism, drug/child abuse, unwed pregnancies, wife abuse to be excepted as ones "culture". Sad to see finding a common scape goat as something you hope joins you together. So sad
Not sure where you got your opinions from, but you have a right to them. I would just ask that you try to better understand who and what you speak of before making such bold and broad statements. I agree that every culture/society has its share of problems and challenges and that there are always those who are hateful and angry, but what Malia speaks of in this video is focusing on the positive and beautiful aspects of Molokai and her people. It's the only way to move beyond the negative.
Where do u get ur accusations from??? Seriously, not everyone is perfect, i was never abused and my parents are still married. Not sayn these things dont exist in our culture, but in WHAT damn culture does these things NOT exist. I forgot u come from a culture where none of these imperfections exist huh? That must be it....
Madame, I hate to say it but from someone who is the son of a military man and a past resident of Molokai, I know exactly what that change is. Molokai is becoming a lot like the mainland. There are 2 places within the states that I have felt truly at home in this life and that was Molokai and Michigan. Sayonara.
Beautiful words from a beautiful person.I'm so proud of you!! It was nice to see you at Auntie Mary's farewell and spend time with you, Uncle Stanley, and all the kine folks at Madonna's. Love You! cousin Michael. P.S. Beautiful eulogy!!
