4) Oppose new foreclosure prevention measures that will simply provide perverse incentives for borrowers to walk away and delay a needed market correction.
5) No more federal loan guarantees for corporations (especially in light of this.

This is a protest election:
-VERY unpopular president.
-unpopular and very expensive war.
-economic crisis.
-5 years of coordinated, anti-Bush/Rep hysteria from the media scaring the shit out of the public.
So...the public voted for the "other guy". They would have elected Gilligan if the Dems had run him.
