you said 1024 by 768, however in the beginning when you display the text on the screen it is written as 1024 by 788... an 8 instead of a 6 as you pronounced it.
It can be done MUCH easier using Tuneup Utilities. This is the very very ahrd way. If you use Tuneup Utilities it's done in 2 minutes just give the program your image and they do the rest. You can see previews of the boot screen and it's so freakin'n easy
asshole i tried everything and it does not work your too fast and your wrong there's better and more simple onces i spent over an hour watching your dome video
i did all that shit twice on my Toshiba laptop and its just giving me the hidden screen, and after about 5 seconds, the sumbitch starts breaking up like a motherfucker THEN goes to my login... something's fucked up...
hi, i followed your instructions and I did have 800x600 and 1024x768 with 24 bit depth but the aurora boot screen doesnt change at all! i changed en-US in system32 and system32/boot as well... but nothing. Does it matter if your two images are not very identical? like the 800x600 is a cut size of the 1024x768? mine doesnt change at all
This do not work for the new Windows Vista Update (Service Pack 1 or SP1). Microsoft uses a different signature for the winload.exe file. So, DO NOT try to this if you have Vista SP1 installed on your computer
hey pls help me when i do this it just shows the aurora bootscreen i think its because i check the no gui boot box but it shows aurora not my custom bootscreen :(
It will show the aurora screen if you check the no gui box without replacing the original screen. Are you sure you used 24bit BMPs ? And are you sure you replaced the file?
save the original one as 'winload.exe.mui.old" so you still have the old file

i dont think that is his actual mouse click...maybe the software he used 2 record the computer screen adds that annoying sound
neonDog 3 years ago
You might want to talk louder or move the mic, or whatever recording equipment you have, closer to your mouth because its kinda hard to hear you.

Rocky21393 3 years ago

I don't have the VTZ folder
johnster23 3 years ago
It never asks for a VTZ folder. The only time VTZ is mentioned in in security where you see the computer name. Yours would be different.
