  • This one isn't in the playlist either. hmm...

    Thank you thank you!!

  • Thanks

  • Nick it would be seriously good if you could have some tutorials on some of the throws and catches stuff which are shown on this video

  • Ican do i tutorial if u wants

  • haha they look like little spermies flying at you nick!! eee hehehe good stuff!

  • thanks for the tips! these are great for beginners like myself! especially love the closeups of the hands showing the grips! very well produced and thought out! :)

  • thanks for that, I just got a "real" set of poi with the double loop and I was having a hard time getting it to feel comfortable. I still prefer the knot of my sock poi as I feel I have more control than just a finger loop but I can see the ability to make it look more "magical" by being able to open my palms!

thanks again for the tutorial on grips!

  • Baa. Maybe double loop isnt for you? I prefer single loop myself. I put my ring and pinky fingers through the loop and use the "key grip"

Also... with socks, I wrap once around my middle and index finger to take the weight and then around my index finger for control.

My basic point is there are a lot of ways to hold your poi that are not demonstrated, choose one that fits you (And your poi, my socks are very long and I like that for spiral wraps that last for aaaaaaages) :D Happy twirling.

  • Very useful indeed!

  • what about monkey fists? how would you hold them?

  • 0:20 :D

  • this is actually very useful! There are hardly any tutorials on grips, so this is nice :)
