I stopped listening to Against Me! not because of the "politics," or the "selling-out" (and in case you're wondering, I have the Crimes 7-inch). I stopped listening because the music got really bad.

I don't think there's any selling out about it. I'm getting older myself and can no longer associate with all the old punk crap i used to listen to, however this song hits me deeper than any of their old stuff could have. Personally I think it's great when bands evolve with you. I enjoyed seeing them back in '01 with ten other people in the entire venue and think I would enjoy seeing them even more now.

This is a far cry from the adrenaline and raw energy-fueled band I remember seeing at Eddie C's in Gainesville all those years ago. I know bands evolve, but this just seems so bland compared to what they used to be. Where's the energy? Where's the raw human emotion manifesting itself through music? My grandmother would listen to this and like it.

God damn I have never been so proud to be born and raised in Florida. All the scenes that were filmed in St. Augustine and Gainesville (my hometown) are all places I've been to. I remember seeing these guys waay back in I think like '08 when New Wave came out. A few friends of mine and I snuck out just to see Against Me!
