@pianistsan The drums used are called "tombac" or "tombak" and they're originally an ancient Persian instrument that has been used for over 2,500 years and still exists and is a vastly used in traditional Persian/Iranian folk songs.

My favourite scenes in assault on alamot is when Dastan is climbing the wall and when he is pulling his two swords while walking to fight against Alamotians , and behind Dastan is big fire. It' just so cool!

awsome movie. hey, do you know where would be the short music clip from the part when he is on the roof and the "army" of alamut is arriving and he swings himself from the roof with a rope and sets a fire in front of the gate? sorry for my bad description

I wish the movie was better. I really enjoyed it, but when you compare it to the original games that this movie is based off of, it`s similar but this movie would HAVE to be rated R and NOT made by Disney if it was to be respectful of it`s source material.

And Disney DID NOT do a good job of making us believe the actors are "Persian".

Jake Gyhlenhall and Alfred Molina are the farthest things from Persian.

4/5 for effort.

4:25-4:35 is pretty cool. But I love the bit from 4:01-5:17. It makes me imagine that we're about to attack the city. Then we fight, and the moment of triumph.
