I like what carter said at the end, "the five people that you hear on this record are the five people that got to this point" I think he means that they. the band, worked on it for almost 2 years and when other people told them to change it (like the record lable) they still did it their way, meaning it was their music and they wanted to stay like that. maybe arranged some the songs in a different way, but they were still dark and jamming at the same time.
