my dad just pulled his harley out of storage a few days ago and he has a 1995 road king classic (sexiest thing alive) and the last time i sat on it i was like 5, now im 18, its like 800 pounds, and shit that sucker was heavy haha
@War10ck1004 Actually sports bikes DO have a low centre of gravity. It`s one of the main aims of the designers because it promotes good handling! The harleys i sat on, all feel top heavy in comparison.
First thing I did back in 1969 when I got my Harley 74 was to lay it down on the lawn to see how to pick it back up again... figured I might need to know how to do that some day. Sheesh... I didn't know I just could've had some girl do it for me...
Offcourse in all of these videos the kickstand is on the correct side and noose is hurt ..From my own experience i can tell you when you crash your so pumped up you can pick it up by just facing the bike and grabing its bars and rear peg..I broke my wrist once didnt even know it and picked up my 200kg bike easy in the thick of it all.
@some1sweetlyspecial i was thinking "damn it's gonna fall over the other way and she is gonna fall on top of it" the whole time i was watching that video. lol
When you drop it...chances are your adrenaline is pretty much through the roof and you just picked up your bike in the same breath when you jumped to your feet...
I dropped my Bandit 1200 yesterday, wish I had seen this video first. I had to wait until somebody came over and gave me a hand picking it back up. So embarrassing, but no damage thankfully!
@mhcmovies Only an idiot would pay $30k for that pile of shit with chrome on it. Hell, even a pile of shit probably performs better than that glorified wheelchair.
@mhcmovies How about looking at that price tag and going to buy something more reasonable and reliable? I'll buy a couple of new cars, or three or four motorcycles for that price!
Hmm... I could get an FZ6, a ZRX, a Bandit 1250S, and an SV650 and still have enough money left over for spare tires and wheels for $30,000! Probably a couple of Nighthawk 700S's, too.
Which makes it that much easier to do in the way presented here in this video. It's important to understand that when something is EASY to do, it puts less strain on your muscles. If you utilize your strong muscles, you won't risk screwing your health up. Proper lifting technique is always important... especially on a 450+ pound piece of hardware.
@demoman3955 bloody dropped my bike today on a downhill stop sign on a busy road, managed to summon so super saiyan strength picking it back up facing it lol
Thats a neat demo, but the bike is sitting on a rubber mat which makes getting her feet planted easier and it is safe to say she has done it a bunch of times. Still I have to give her respect she made it look easy.
like i told another guy on here... i took an MSF ridercourse last year, one of the coaches was a gal my age (mid 40's) who rode a Harley Ultra Glide with all the trimmings. she stood maybe 5'1" and tipped the scales at MAYBE 105.
to prove she could, she had several of us guys lay her bike GENTLY on it's side, backed up to it just like the babe in the video, grabbed it and walked that puppy right back onto it's wheels.
cool idea!! i was shown a diff way! this way makes me feel like one wrong move and the side of the tank is gonna have a new look if you know what i mean!! ; )
impressive for a tiny girl....

This is a $7,000 Harley. It's a Sportster and weighs about 500lbs. A fully loaded Big Twin will run up to 900lbs.

Best thing to do with this pile of old fashion junk is leave it on its side.
Over priced, under powered, over weight, 1930s style crap.
duckgeezer 10 months ago 3
@duckgeezer
FYI,...1957 was the first year for the XLCH ( kick only, Competition Hot ) Sportster. A 1930's Harley would be a VL Model.

Actually its easier to lift a low bike than any sport bike which have a higher gravity center
