Now you are starting to GET it. The VA operates at a FRACTION of the overhead cost of health insurance companies, not to mention for-profit hospitals/HMOs, and offers BETTER health care.
But every year, especially these past 8, the scope of what the VA is allowed to fund shrunk, and the only thing that shrunk FASTER was the budget. This at a time of 2 wars.
Meanwhile the only health-related legislation that was passed by the republitards was money-grabs for private insurance companies.

I know getting healtch care from an overburdened system is tough as hell...that is what I have been going through FOR 15 YEARS here in the USA.
But now that I FINALLY have my VA benefits (after over a decade of trying, mostly under Herr Bu$h), I hope to get MY surgery by the end of the year.
Now that I don't have to deal with FUCKING HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANIES, its going fairly fast :)

The VA owes the veterans. This damn government owes the veterans. BUt they are limiting care and methods of care. Granted we are happy as crap to get anything out of it. But if i have an emergency. The VA will not take you in except for appointments. The free market doesnt exist anymore. because of regulation that empowers insurance companys.

Now you are starting to GET it. The VA operates at a FRACTION of the overhead cost of health insurance companies, not to mention for-profit hospitals/HMOs, and offers BETTER health care.
But every year, especially these past 8, the scope of what the VA is allowed to fund shrunk, and the only thing that shrunk FASTER was the budget. This at a time of 2 wars.
Meanwhile the only health-related legislation that was passed by the republitards was money-grabs for private insurance companies.

Why is that? I hate the bitch and im glad she is in canada. But she is a nurse there. And its blahblah blah im wore out at my job blah blah blah they need more people. blahblah its forever lines. and the hospital storys. But hey there are tubers here that do have video of the system contrary to what michael moore says. Im for reform for the general welfare but not corporate welfare. And that is why everything is so expensive.

Odd, every video I've seen of the Canadian health care system has been downright glowing...divine even, when compared to what you go through HERE.
Check out a TV series called "30 days", there is an episode about being working poor that is...shocking.
Hell, when I was stationed in Washington (Ft. Lewis) there was a bus that went over the border every day full of people looking for health care. The stop was right outside the game store I hung out at on the weekends. Lots of repeat passengers.
