  • Hey Brother ! Super cool your bushcraft kitchen :D ...and YES ...you killed me with that vanilla coffee ! ...Almost had the smell in my nose ! beautiful video !

  • @themadwolf13 Thanks madwolf :o) Appreciate it bro!!! I have Some Tim Hortons French Vanilla that kicks butt over that Folgers...haha!

  • Hey dude, great video! And might I add, beautiful! What type of camera are you using to shoot your films? I am sitting here watching this video on a 47" screen HDTV and it looks amazing. (I love the YouTube app on XBOX!) Anyway, thanks for sharing and keep up the great work.

  • @1377stick Wow! Thanks man :o) Much appreciated! That's a big tv! I run mine off a 32" tv sometimes or my 23" monitor. The camera is a Canon VIXIA HF R200 full 1080p HD It's been a good camera :o) Battery don't last very long. Not like they claim anyway. Had to buy a second battery. Might buy a third yet :o)

  • Beautiful country! Cool coffee filter. We still don't have no snow in the Sierra's here...I was sweating up a storm the other day(really warm air, unseasonal like temps in the 70's, awful weather for the winter). That means no good fishing and real fire hazards this year unless something happens soon.

  • @TroutManOutdoors Thankya Kindly :o) Yeah that's too warm for winter. I'm trying to send others snow but it's not working this year...haha! We haven't been as cold as normal either. We've had temps range from -44c to + 5c...haha! Been a weird one!

  • Very nice video and set up. We have not seen any snow yet, looks like you have it all. Hiking over the weekend it was 80, toasty.

  • @ramsd1 Thankya! Oooh, that's warm. I'm sweating just thinkin' about it :o)

  • i got me one of them coffee filter not try it yet but soon no snow yet here in central vt got mud

  • @RJBURG Good filter. Does let some grinds through with fine grind. Coarse grind would work much better, and of course leaf tea :o)

  • Nice day in the woods. Hey what type hammock are you using there. Is that a full sized hammock or some type of hammock chair? Looks damn comfortable.

  • @dmacken11 It's my Bushman hammock chair from my original designs I made a couple years back called Amazing hammock chair. I made some vids on all of those, You can check those out or go to arrowheadequipment dot webs dot com.

  • super opening! and cutting board table, and a wool cozy,,great ideas man!!

  • @bassfuryvi Thanks man :o)

  • Wow Bro, those opening scenes were epic man... a winter wonderland you got going on up there! Sweet kitchen setup you have there too! Rebecca sure did an great job on that cozy! (You did pretty good on the table too hehe). You're stylin' now for sure buddy ;-)

  • @intenseangler Thankya Bro :o) Glad ya liked it! The wooly is a great little item for sure. I AM STYLIN'...haha! ;o)

  • Excellent. I said before that I liked the cutting board tree table because it doubled as a cutting board, but now it's twice as nice. Yeah, very cool...Dash

  • @mrriprock2 Hehe! Thanks Dash :o)

  • Great set up man, thanks for sharing

  • @dragonflyhiker Thanks man :o)

I really like the soft fading effects !!! And second ... probably you`re the ony bushman in the territories with a complete ultralight rucksack kitchen ! :o) HE HE And where was Toni ??? A big hug to her ... okay ... and to you, my friend ! ;o)

  • @moorcamper Mr. Moorcamp! Hey old buddy! You're probably rite :o) YouTube made me do it...haha! It's just windows live movie maker my friend :o) That's all I've ever used :o) Toni has been working through the holidays. She is very important don't you know :o) Double time and a half $ good buddy :o) You have a wonderful 2012 my friend :o)

  • Love Chega tea!

  • @shugemery Yeah! Love the taste of mold...hehe ;o)

  • Chega hunting = neck pain)))))☺

A very organizer camp for sure.

  • @shugemery Haha! It can make all kinds of pain hunting for that illusive Chaga ! Especially if you're slammin' into trees ;o)

  • Happy New Year, Rich, cool and relaxing time, near by your tree rack. Great item, buddy. See you, Sepp

  • @Waldhandwerk Thankyou Sepp :o)You have a good one!

  • Nice video, the music matches the feeling of a winter hike in the snow here in Idaho. Coffee filter looks cool, can you provide a link ?

  • @kona1388 Thanks a bunch :o) The link for it is in the description of my wawhiker gravity filter vid part 2 :o)

  • That tree table is truly awesome.

I am going to make one.

And thanks for one more great video.

And a Happy New Year 2012 to you and your wife.

  • Happy New Year Ggreen! Best wishes !

  • @TheAuspicious Happy New Year Auspicious!

  • Rich..Excellent setup...Very effective....Hey! Can you tell me where I can find a couple of those hammock chairs? Thanks..

  • @bushcraftbartons Thanks Mike :o)) It does work well! Those are my Bushman hammock chairs @ arrowheadequipment, web, com :o) They're $35 ea. Great comfy chairs buddy. I did a vid on those long ago :o)

  • @Ggreenvideos ok...I will check them out...thanks Rich...

  • Sweet kitchen setup! Looks like you could mount a small hose clamp and a metal clip or wire added to the hose clamp and setup both tables onto one treking pole. Thanks for sharing! Happy New Year!

  • @CrazyTaileZ Thanks man :o) That may work actually. May not be as stable though as the hole on the table fits the trekking pole snugly to prevent the chance of side to side wabble. There always are other possibilities :o) Thanks for your comment and Happy New Year to you :o)

  • good video Rich. 2 questions...

    1. What are the faint specs/refractions that are drifting upward on the video. I see them clearly against the tree @ 9:05, but throughout video.

    2. the DIY has 2 separate strings attached to each side, and then you tie accordingly around tree, or just 1 string?

  • @ez2curanut Thanks Jimmy :o) Those faint specs/refractions are the cinema effects in the movie maker, but I don't really like them :o(

The table has 2 pieces of paracord that tie together on the tree. Better to have them longer to wrap around an extra time before tying together. For these plastic ones anyway :o)

  • sweet kitchen setup. what an awesome day to be out...please send some of your snow east!!!

  • @gcstorm1 Thanks GC :o) Snow is on the way...I hope :o)

  • Rich, All I can really say is......BEAUTIFUL!!! I don't really think anything else can encompass the shots in this video.

Take care, Be safe, Happy New Year......Scott

  • @TheLionsDen72 Thank you Scott :o) I appreciate that very much! Happy New Year to you :o)

  • Happy New Year! Looked like a great day in the woods, Some day this winter we may actually get some snow here..... hasn't happened yet though.

  • @MBlackford100 Happy New Year to you as well :o) I'm trying to send snow to those that don't have it, but it isn't working...haha! I don't want to shovel any longer...LOL :o)

  • What a great video to watch! The intro was awesome, so peaceful. Great looking kitchen set up (and glad to see you managed to have a bit of a sit down). That wool cozy is something else! All the best to you and the Mrs for 2012 my friend!

  • @BCkayakcamper Thank you my good friend :o) Always should have a sit down and take it all in :o) I would like to have more wool cozy's :o) All the best to you and your family man :o)

  • very nice video,,,, THX

  • @shippen2010 Thanks!

  • Awesome Rich, some great shots of the creek! Those little tables are a great Idea! its sometimes hard to find a flat piece of ground especially when its snowing! lol. all you need is the sink and I think that kitchen is complete! : ) Take care and Happy New year to you and the misses

  • @TomsBackwoods Thanks good buddy :o) I have a sink...LOL! It's the creek ;o) Real damn cold too...haha! There are some days when working on the ground does suck :o) Gotta' be in the mood for it, and the joints have to agree to it as well...haha! HNY to you my friend :o)

  • Tip: if you can find the small salmon can 8oz since the top is flared it is slightly larger. Form it over it wet and dry. Since I reformed mine to fit the small salmon can it now fits over the Tuffy. Still works a top on the regular 14 oz can. Steam helps to form it. Either by setting it upside down on the can on a warm woodstove or heater or if using a plastic form use a blow dryer on high to create steam for a few minutes. Just reform it if you want it fit on top of the Tuffy Tea Steeper.

  • @RebLin51 I have found an 8 oz almond can I made into a cook pot. You will see it sitting beside the system I'm showing next time :o) It's straight up the side. That was all I found here. That's good to know :o) Thanks for your knowledge and artistry my friend :o)

  • I love the ideea with the tables. Happy new year!

  • @calatorul78 Thankya Alex :o) HNY to you as well!

  • Nice kitchen setup Rich. I liked the running stream against the fallen snow. Nice...

  • @Woodenarrows Thanks my friend :o) HNY to ya!

  • Your most welcome on the wool cozy. I just wanted a finger friendly cozy for my coffee. I do use reflectix on my larger pots. I might make a wool cozy for those too. If I can ever get a new video camera I will do a DIY video on how to make one. I will also be making some extra ones in the coming year and offering them for sale.

  • @RebLin51 You did a find job my friend :o) Works great! I've already been asked if they're for sale :o) Might be a plan eh :o) That would be cool to see your wool cozy's on other sizes of pots :o)

  • That tree table tree has some fine limbs on it! Really enjoyed the awesome snowy shots, great job buddy! A great idea / gift there on the cozy. Does she sell them? Always nice seeing you out, stay warm and Happy New Year!

  • @wawhiker Thanks good buddy :o)Is your table the big one? What's the weight? That cozy is awesome :o) I think she may start selling them sometime in 2012. Happy New Year to you and the wawhiker family :o)

  • @Ggreenvideos Mine is the small one - 4 ounces. You and Toni have a fanastic New Year - thanks buddy!

  • @wawhiker OK ! Yeah Robbie told me it was 100 grams. Later good buddy :o)

  • Nice job on those tables. Looks like they work out great in all that snow

  • @redwoodfox Thanks man! They work great :o)

  • Nice job man. Great video. When you first started shooting your shelves with pots and stuff. I thought they were behind you and it looked like huge commercial cooking equipment. LOL.

  • @handyscot1 Hehehe! Thanks man :o)

  • Beautiful song at the beginning and the end. What was the name of it if you don't mind me asking? Have a great new year!

    All the best, John

  • @LongJohnTippah Thankya :o) Windswept from Kevin MacLeod. Royalty free. Just google it :o) All the best to you John :o)

  • Great editing and filming Buddy O. I made one of those tables after seeing your the other day Waiting to test it out . Happy New Year !

  • @medicjimr Thankya good buddy :o) Very much appreciated! That's great to here. Looking forward to seeing it! HNY to you my friend :o)

  • Great looking multi function tables. I take it you cut a small arch in the edge that touches the tree? That wool cozy is great. Knitting, and similar craft work is certainly a dying art in this day and age.

    Happy New Year

  • @bwillan Thanks man!No arch. There was a slot that creates a handle. Just cut out the piece on both sides of the slot creating 2 points that can dig into the bark.

She is an artist :o) HNY to you bro :o)

  • Great idea looks good and love the cosy

  • @dsw072774 Thankya :o)

  • rebecca did a nice job on the cozy.......nice double table setup....still havent gotten to do mine,lol...maybe this weekend....after kayaking out to the seal colony,lol...be safe tonight Rich.

  • @sousaville She sure did buddy :o) It's cool and warm...hehe ;o) It's an easy DIY :o) I'm not a boozer so I'll be safe...haha!

  • Happy New Year!

  • @cyote4672368 HNY to you :o)

  • I believe I will give this DIY tree table a go. It sure looks handy and not having to stoop or kneel to cook is a great plus in my book!

  • @MrPoppabear255 That is for sure. There are days when I don't feel like working off the ground as well. A big plus in winter and in the rain :o) I find you can hunker under a big tree and set the table up and be sheltered from the snow. No need for a tarp :o)

  • I like the idea of using cutting board material for the table - makes for a more "knife friendly" surface if needed, and resists deforming in the backpack that you might get with Al. Do you know how the weight compares with the Al types? Also, you use para cord not bungee to secure it to the tree? Thanks for the ideas!

  • @OldePete Thanks :o) It appears to be heavier than the Aluminum tables. Smokeeater's small aluminum table that measures close to my white one is apparently 100 grams he tells me :o) I'm not sure how good the bungie would work though in comparing it to rope. Rope will secure it better I think :o) Less chance of slipping, but I could be wrong. Bungie would be heavier than paracord for sure :o)

  • "173 grams with 6 feet of paracord" ?!

Hey buddy! You keep mixing and mashing those systems of measurement, huh? I am a simple mind, so I only understand metric, haha!

Great idea to use wool, nature's hightech material: 500 million sheep can't be wrong ;o) I like your table system -- lets you open up the bar just anywhere you like.

Have a good hop intop 2012 you two!

    Tim

  • @steintanz Haha! Well you see buddy, Canadians still use both measurements. That's what makes us so smart...haha! We studied standard until 77 and then began metric. So us old guys know both...sort of :o)

Yup Wool is great :o) That's why my base layer is always woolpower by Ostersund :o) It's awesome, thin and lite :o) HNY to ya!

  • @Ggreenvideos "Captain Woolpower" - sounds like a new super hero to me: Hey, how about a video of you flying through the woods in that "base layer"? Would be sth different - hahaaa! :o)

  • @steintanz Sure...hehe! I'm Captain woolpower...haha ;o)

  • Looks better than my kitchen in my house! Great seeing you out and about. Happy new year to you and the misses!

  • @ridebks Haha! It's outdoors :o) Better than any kitchen my friend :o) HNY to you man !

  • Great little kitchen Rich. I like the cozy as well. Best wishes for you and your wife in the new year my friend.

  • @DrunknShooter Thanks :o) Back at ya my friend :o)

  • Nice job with the DIY gear! That is a very very sweet little wool cozy.

  • @RedwoodOutdoors Thanks man :o)
