I don't know if this has been said, but you can also interrupt the ogres grab width 'Dirty fighting' if you are a rogue. I think it basically just has to be a stun-effect.

Something to note, if you use a stun or knockdown while the ogre is grabbing someone the ogre will release the npc.

That was so awesome to watch!!! I'm playing as a mage right now. I defeating the Ogre by opening up with a Fireball to draw aggro, put up a force field on myself, and had the rest of my crew take down the Ogre. When the field wore off, I just kept running around periodically blasting him till Alistair did the epic jump kill. The fight took a little under a minute. Great video, 5 / 5

One point about the dogs you use is that if the dogs get a kill, you don't get exp for it. Probably not a huge deal, but if you are trying to get to higher levels asap, they could potentially take a decent bit of exp from you.

hay when are you going to explain how to build sten into a tank. i can do it (i think) but i want to see how you do it.

btw im playing a two sword playthrough (warrior) ,with bombs as well, dont want to take alister so stens is only other choice

o and just saying great so far but every level you shood at least say what skill you picked just saying ya know.

Where do you do your research before making a char? I remember you said it in a earlier vid and I wanna attempt a Rogue on Nightmare.

@Hiruko000 I trolled the forums on both bioware and gamefaqs, plus the dragon age wiki, and then some random google searches.

And even after 2 playthroughs before this one, I still miss some things. I'll add in annotations when I make mistakes.

Weakness always reduces attack and defense. There is a physical check to see if it reduces movement speed.

I havent tried this on Nightmare, but i believe that the Mage can paralyse the Ogre too...

He does. I'll check and see if it works. However, if the ogre can resist weakness's movement speed, it can probably resist paralysis (at least on nightmare).

I will check it though.

You can save your pummel strike and shield bash to interrupt the ogre grab.
