maashaa'Allah, take it from me who has been addicted to every narcodic know to man.. it does get played out.. after a while of using a person will feel that although hs has tried everything to attain happyness there is something missing in his life.. alhedulillah i was intruduced to islam and found a high in deen i cant compare.. iman is the sweetness of faith and when you speak of the greatness of Allah and his messenger you will feel euphoria and contentment. (not in the way of the sufis).
Im not a muslim so i know its not my place to say this, but wouldnt it be okay to legalize weed? Its the main money source for the cartels and could hurt them. They supply 90% of the United States weed and Americans still buy it! can you believe it?

@1234jazman Also my opinion is formed from previous experience. A years worth. And i found that Cannabis is non addictive. The only way it can be is psychologically, and in that way you can really be addicted to anything,even eating ice cream cake.
The benefit i saw from it was like a Sleeping pill,Eating disorder pill,Anger management pill, and a pain reliever all in one! Id rather go out and buy this type of medicine rather than lab created pills and ingest them. with x100 less side effects

Clear cut. See Surah al-Maidah verses 90-91 where Allah has outlawed "Khamr" which isn't translated as wine but as anything which intoxicates. Overdosing is not a factor to determine whether something is haraam but a substances ability to alter your psychological state is.
@san3l Cannabis and Islam are not homogenous. I'd know having smoked a lot of weed, and even right now i'm trying to stop. If you want to relieve pain, or manage your anger look to Islam. And i know for a fact that withdrawls from weed cause anger problems and they made me very irratiable, and it ruined my relationship with my parents. and really does smoking weed make you a better person? or does it help you contribute to society? Sure it's harmless physically be sincere with yourself.
@san3l I also smoked it for a year and it totally clouds your thinking (after the high goes), You feel dead and just can't be bothered to do anything... and you'll be lying to your self if you don't crave it a lot if you don't have any for a couple of days...When i quit i felt angry constantly and my brain was dead for about 3 months (i smoked it quite a lot.) It does more harm then good.
