I don't understand why mean people are mean either. Maybe their parents didn't let their kids be themselves, or the churches let people have their own spiritual connection, or the schools let people learn at their own pace, or society making everyone judge others and want what others have and not appreciate your own uniqueness. I wish I had a friend like Lady when I was her age, maybe school wouldn't have been so hard.

how awful:( I have an extremely intelligent/gifted son, who happens to be 5 yrs old as well and I know being uniquely talented and intelligent can also be tough for kids who are super aware of whats goin on around them. @fizzydrinkmixer For the same reason they put me in the "baby room" to learn what I already knew. What was worse was I was blind as a bat but they couldn't tell it because I had memorized the eye charts. They had to run me through two sets of doctors before they figured out exactly why I knew so much yet had difficulty with school.
