  • the lighting in this one looks awesome for being a little old, maybe I should check it out on steam.

  • I love the security bot skins. They are really the icing on the cake.

  • I genuinely enjoyed DX:IW and loved its atmosphere and environments, separate from the original DX. I just wish it didn't make me feel so claustrophobic!

  • @ash0ppingcart They made the game knowing that they were going to port it to consoles later on. If they had developed IW with only the PC in mind, it would have been a lot bigger.

  • yeah, the level design was good, what a shame, another 50 billion dollars down the drain

  • @40390576

I personally thought it was only about an hour shorter than the original game. The Nameless Mod took me longer to complete than the game it was a total conversion of did (the first Deus Ex).

  • I loved the level design of this game. emerald suites were just awesome with all them vents etc.

  • @ToothPicksInMyEyes But would you want to live there? So easy to break into. The penthouse really kool but far too large for one person to live in.

  • @Rashaed Sure but some have a gigantic turret ready to rinse anyones skull who dares to break in. You gotta remember if this was real, you'd be ok.. isn't there a knife under a pilow in there?

  • @ToothPicksInMyEyes Yeah, a secret weapon. The Toxin knife. A turret inn the living room is so weird. It should be able to hide in a compartment when inactive.

  • @Rashaed

Yeah, that turret is not exactly something I would like to see as a guest.

  • @Rashaed um lol

  • dont know about anyonw else but i would feel really uneasy having a automated turret in my appartment.....

  • how long was this game

  • @NUKEMANN1995 A little over 10 hours.

  • Architectures on dx2 are really well designed . like Archology and upper seattle .

  • @sonichedgie Yeah, its all CyberPunk style, i love it.

  • i like how upper seattle looks like . it looks very futuristic ^^

  • IW is a really good game imo, but I just don't like it as much as the original, because of the huge change in play style. I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about. Feels like the only thing they have in common is the title.

  • deux ex 1 was brilliant but this one was so bad in comparrison and they dumbed it down from the 1st one

  • To be fair, DX2 was a pretty good game. It's only that it sucks when compared to DX1, which is what, one of the best games ever made?

  • yeah definately, it was years ahead of itself

  • @locusSol i want to play the first one so badd

  • that's how games work, they get easier and easier. the 3rd one is going to suck.

  • Reminds me sooooo much of blade runner! that part at the end espeacially!

I love this game, but have only played the demo on xbox, I want to get it for PC but I dont know if it will run on mine. Can someone tell me the system requirements?

  • If your PC is 3 years or younger, you can likely run this game. It came out in 2003. But go to the System Requirements Lab to have your PC scanned through Java. The game may have issues with multi-core PCs.

  • @BrainZombieZ have u checked out deus ex 3

  • You killed the schoolgirls in the academy! There's an interesting debate about the rights and wrongs of killing them on the message board for the Xbox version of it on GameFAQs. It's called 'I can't believe you can murder the little schoolgirls and get away with it! I found it a very interesting and intelligent debate.

  • Pequod's coffee rules. Unlike that sewer water Quee Quegs calls coffee and sells.

  • they're owned by the same people hah

  • Lol kinglord you are a dead muther fucker! dude that wep killsm sotly anything in 1 or 2 hits but god damn only a idiot would charge 5 greasels and 3 karkians...

  • can some1 tell me when is DX 3 coming out......(approx)...plz

  • Sept 2010

  • ok thx m8

  • There's a game called Project: Snowblind for the XBox and PS2 that is loosely considered the next Deus Ex. It's more action based though. If there really is a new one coming out, that will be awesome.

  • @IRELANDSELITE Release moved to Q1 2011.

  • i need help with mako level in number one

  • Sure what part you need help with and FYI you will need mutitools and med packs and lots of ammo or gernades.

  • actually now im stuck with JC Mission...like how to i kill these armor dudes

  • Sure either advoid them or get out your dragon tooth sword and hit them sometimes if you hit them in the back it causes more damage to them.

  • Dragon Tooth Sword? jeez i founded it but i didnt grabbed it now im fucked lol

  • Well got any energy swords or any weapon what about a gun you can't use fists maybe that's why your dying? LOL Seriously just use gernades or high powered guns like SMG or that Laser rifle thing, or roket launcher or you can sneak by them.

  • Does anyone else find that they are constantly running out of, and/or in need of health and ammo in this game? Or is it just me cause I suck at hiding/finding cover and conserving ammunition? T_T"

  • Funny thing is some health medical and ammunation is hidden in dumbster xDD try it lol

  • lol i don't have this game anymore, i gave it to a friend recently, but thanks for the tip, i guess...

  • You can download it for free (legally) from GameTap.

  • does anyone else see the massive decline in the quality of games since the 360? they look good graphicly but they just dont have the depth or the artistic feel to them anymore. i hope deus ex 3 doesnt fall into the garbage bin aswell.

  • I know EXACTLY what you mean.

  • invisible war is alot more artistic than the first one for sure mind you

  • There are many possible reasons why Deus Ex 2 didn't have the same deep ideas of Deus Ex 1. It was also a hard place to start, too. What would happen after all the things happened in Deus Ex 1?

Also, I think a certain game rating firm may be involved by the censoring of Deus Ex 2, something they haven't been able to do with DX1.

Still, DX2 isn't bad; I just feel the level design, the depth, the handling of controls, could have been better.

  • Its the "war" they got going on. Every platform wants to say they have the best graphics on the console/ card box. Developers are pushed to make their graphics better which takes away from the time spent on fleshing out a game. There are many current gem games that fall into this catergory. A lot of early PS 3 games come to mind. Basically people bitch about subpar graphics even in a great content wise game, and most of what sells colsoles to newbies is comercials and looks

  • i didnt kno there's number 2??

  • You can buy the first Deus Ex on steam.

  • Yes, i cant even finish the first one! :( it's hard. But it is VERy good, i agree with you with the second one, but the second one is NOTHING like the first one :o

  • Ahh I love this game and the original

  • loved the first 2 games, hope third wont suck

  • looks very nice, i was wondering if it has online multiplayer?

  • No it doesn't.

  • thanks

  • Invisible War is, compared to its predecessor, worse. But it still stands to be a great game on its own merit.

  • it's funny how i've played hte game so many times but i never looked out like that in the historical area... and i rarely put much attention at the scenery when i was in Tarus... so nice look ^^

  • people were too harsh on this game because the first was so good. i personally really liked this one, while i loved the first, but there were touches that seemed to be off, like having the same type of ammo for everything, and then making that ammo scarce as hell (partially depleted ammo clips piss me off). Also it was too short and the storyline wasn't as compelling. + Halo is another series people don't realize as being quite scenic as well.

  • ya u right about the ammo i just wish that in deus ex 3 will not be the same as this one

  • Halo is a crap game. End of story!

  • Well, invisible war wasn't a bad game. It was fine, but the first one was just so brilliant and complex that the second one seemed dumbed down by comparison. Still, in terms of overall atmosphere I'd say that Invisible War is superior.

  • maybe u think so because the graphics are 5 years or so better than the 1st. I think d/ex 1 is unmatched in terms of its ambience, with the dialogue, storyline, music, environment, etc. coming together perfectly. d/ex2 had a good deal of that but also threw in stuff i couldn't care less for, like the coffee wars, or some characters you'd see once and never again. in the 1st, helios/icarus/daedalus were important for the big brother effect, but NG resonance is lame in comparison, for example.

  • Ah! I thought that I was the only person who made films like this. Could we form a group or something, of people who like to make sight-seeing films of virtual places?

  • Glad you liked it. I did this for Deus Ex because I love the artistic design. I may do the same for Mass Effect. As for forming a group? I dont know.

  • cool i would like to forming a group i can make a video for the walkthrough and somebody make a sight-seeing videos just like yours. so if u want to make a group just add me

  • I sill love playing deus ex invisible war but the first one i love the most the first one got 20 level but in DE:IW got only 10 level but i hope for Deus Ex 3 there will be more level than DE 1 n DE:IW n also we hope that they have a mulitplayer on it so that all of deus ex fan will be happy and enjoying the game for PS3 or XBOX360 or PC. I only hope that the Deus Ex 3 will be the BEST game ever had n all of DE fan out there pls buy deus ex 3 on 2009 pls buy!!

  • Can you please make a walkthrough of this game for me? I'm stuck, and I don't know what to do. It would be much appreciated, thanks!

  • Well, I don't have the game installed anymore but I'd be happy to help. Whats your problem?

  • I've just broken out of the training facility in the very first part of the game, and now I'm in Seattle messing around in emerald suites. I don't know what to do. I made it to the police station place?...(sorry, I forgot what it's called) and they're telling me to get a pilot and transport to lower seattle or something like that.

  • On the bottom level of the Seattle Enclave, there will be a sign that says "Inclinator." It will be broken so you wil have to fix it (its easy if you are prepared). That will take you to lower Seattle. There you will find some side jobs. Do some jobs in the Enclave too (Club Vox). At the airport is where you can free up a pilot but that is the last thing you should do in Seattle (once you leave Seattle you are not coming back).

  • Yeah, that's the part I don't get: How do I fix the inclinator??? there's a robot in this room that keeps killing me each time i go in, and then there's a place that's kinda toxic and will poison me if i walk into it...

  • OK, if you have EM grenades, they can take out those dog-like bots or you can sneak around by taking going through the vents. You have to get the other side of the Inclinator. A Repair bot is locked in a closet. There is also a worker below the bot that knows the code the closet. Open the door and the repair bot will fix the cleaner bot.

  • Thanks! A lot!

  • Thanks. Credit goes to Koif for his texture pack mod. He did most of his work on the Seattle enclave.

  • Seattle was the best
