I'd rather speak in my language too, but I think that would be more disrespectful, since it excludes many people.
To your question: Yes I want the commentator to care, but there is a limit. You should be engaged, but this is overkill, and (in my taste as a viewer) really really annoying.

It's portuguese indeed, but this is the internet, everybody in the world can view this, and the vid main thing is the goal & football goals have no language, do they? So why not comment in English, then most of the people who see the goal, know what the comment is about?

I can be very happy while nobody is making noise, are you unable to enjoy football if nobody screams at you?
