  • cause the taxis deserved it

  • Nice rescue :)

  • i hope they upgrade it and give it like an overhaul. its a nice truck

  • Man those sirens are annoying as hell. All because some people complained about the Q's...stupid.

  • actually it didnt rescue ppl on 9/11 the men did not the rig, that was made after 9/11 using the captain plans he had before he died in 9/11

  • @NASCARRELIC

Nah. That's in the truck category. He's missing HazMat, Squad, and boats and whatever else these guys have.

  • Wait, so there are engines, trucks, and rescues? Am I missing one?

  • @JetlinerXPilotXFSX

There are squads(like mini rescues combined with engines), HazMat, and boats.

  • do rescues only respond to major incidents? if so are they really slow, or busy?

  • @51ENGINE51

For special calls. IE; down fire fighter, river rescue, collapse, man under a train, things like that.

  • i saw one video of a truck just like this that left the door open leaving the station and like 3 firemen fell out an a bunch of gear i was like....day shitty

  • yo the rescue trucks in the city look like tanks on drugs lol but their freikin sick would not wont to be in a car in front of that motherfucker in icy winter day

  • @itscrowley22 lol i was there yesterday in the city a rescue 1 and its the new pierce and its damaged in te front and its funny cause i ask the guy there what happened and he says we hit taxis they deserve it :)

  • haha thats sucks that shit was big thow. our rwescue trucks are like that to

  • @fdnylover

    haha that's amazing!

  • Do rescue trucks only attend emergencies within their borough or can they go anywhere within the tristate area? Exm: Can lets say, R3 go to an emergency in staten island?

  • those FDNY rescue trucks beat the hell outta my squads saulsbury trucks!

  • whats the name of the siren

  • i think a pa300

  • the old rescue 1

  • such cool rugged lookign seagrave's but why such a low wimpy siren must have somethign to do with noise in the city id think

  • they dont call it an ambulance. its meant for transporting firefighters and more equiptment to a call where pumpers or ladders would also be

  • fireman 30

  • what the fuck is that supposed to mean?

  • Why the fuck would you put a smiley after that?

  • why would you put a smiley face after that?

  • @matt32596 why the fuck would you put a smily on that you prick

  • @matt32596

What is wrong with you? :)

  • lol but in your country did they strap a boat to the top of ur "ambulances" haha.. Rescue 1 is the shit

  • its called a heavy rescue. ambulances are alot smaller. and the boats for water rescue. no ambulance would ever be this big

  • @ surfer723: Are u a firefighter. I don´t think so, otherwise u understood this.

  • Comment removed

  • @pyrocrazy dude trust me the black thing on the roof is definately a boat

  • does rescue 1 have new LED lights now???

  • fuk thats big then da uk ones

  • FDNY needs real q's

  • some of their apparatus does. Ladder 4 out of Midtown Manhattan definitely has one

  • @ncfirefighter910 They can't, Federal Q's exceed the sound limit in the City of New York. But they are allowed EQ2B's.

  • Is that a inflatible zodiac boat on top?

  • looks like it

  • nice vid

  • That is a hugh rescue unit

  • thats a nice place to park lol

  • ewooo

  • is that truck parked on the road all the time??? or is there a bay that it parks in too??

  • There is a bay for it

  • awesome video

  • wat sirens do the FDNY trucks use? including this one?

  • Most FDNY apparatus have PA300's which they usually have set to manual.

Most of the newer Apparatus has EQ2B sirens as well.

Rescue one in this video has a PA300

The new rescue one has an EQ2B siren.

  • its not an ambulance

  • its not an ambulance

  • did you really call this an ambulance....really?

  • so wat is this called? sorry in our country we dont have like this

  • u can only put sirens and lights when responding its the law when geting back in HQ u put them about half a block away becouse u have to back in to the fh and stop trafic and to answer the other question the old one goes as a back up 90% of time or sold to some other state .

  • Somebody knows Captain Daniel Sheridan ??

  • did the pope bless the e-one?

  • Cool Video

The back is where a lot of the tools and stuff are, and it's where the rest of the guys ride. They don't use the sirens when they're coming back into quarters. I think they flash the lights. The new rig is freaking awesome :)

  • i completely agree

  • Where did this respond to?

  • Damn that thing is huge.

  • dont know

  • 1) why would it? ive never heard of that before 2) did you just reply to yourself and answer your own question?

  • no idid not

  • Theres alot of places that put their sirens on when backing back into their station. My city does it and Iv seen others do it to,

  • no??? why would it use its sirens

  • What's in the back of the Rescue? What is it used for?

  • the back of the rescue is where the firefighter are and if you go into it it looks like you stepped into a tool box for firefighting the walls are covered with tools that they would need its like that so they run in and grab the tools for the job befor they step out the rig

  • why is rescue 1 always have is back door open?

  • to keep it cool. we use to have an old walk thru rescue.

  • we dont need to no that crap

  • it doesnt matter how old the truck is as long as it STILL gets the job done

  • that old pile of junk rescued ppl on 9-11 asshole!!!

  • actually, it was dontated by E-ONE to fdny after 9/11. mah, go figure. its still a good truck.

  • that's my favorite design by far. The new one they have isn't as nice looking, and the Saulsburys were a little bulky/goofy, IMO.

  • thats the new rescue that was donated wasnt it? this is the old one

  • Actually this one is a Saulsbury. E-One/Federal Signal now owns Saulsbury, or did at time of manufacture. It looks like an E-One cab because it is, it is just rebadged as a Saulsbury. This one replaced the HME/Saulsbury and the new Pierce replaced this one.

  • so what happened to this rig, after they got the new pierce?

  • I have no idea. Maybe it went to the Rock or went to somewhere in SOC as a support vehicle, or reserve. Might be in the dept. somewhere else.

  • Probobly put it into reserve, because the older reserve apparatuses were getting quite old (pre-9/11)

  • This rescue is now running as rescue 4 in queens. Rescue 4 veichle is now a spare

  • @hdhufhu I TOTALY FUCKING AGREE!!

    IN MEMORY 343 / 9,II,01

  • @SoonToBeProbie dont say anything about denmark idiot! only because the other guy is an idiot it doesnt mean that im an idiot too. these trucks are great!

  • wow, big

  • I like the old truck almost more then the new

  • My name is Andy and I am running the NYC marathon in November to raise funds for Nick, a fallen FDNY firefighter who was killed on 9/11. Please visit AndyRuns(dot)com. "Make things happen for others, and things will happen for you."

  • Does anyone know what company makes all of the FDNY's air horns?

  • NICE VIDEO.

REAL POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENT radio audio!

    my page go... SUBSCRIBE, THANKS

  • hey did you get the video of the new Rescue 1 Pierce, it's really nice

  • do you know why they switched to a pierce rig?. I emailed them but got not response.

  • cause on 9/11 the old mack was crushed, pierce donated the new one

  • That donated truck was 6 years ago- it was a "Rescue Services" unit, not Rescue 1. The current Pierce was speced and purchased by FDNY for R1. No donations. All post-911 donated units are either spares or were "re-gifted" somewhere else, such as the Ferrara engine that was sent to New Orleans after Katrina. I think the ALf engine is at the Rock. The donated ALF heavy rescue is also "Rescue Services," not a frontline piece.

  • I think the pierce rig was purchased with Homeland Security funds. I can't confirm that though.

  • Yeah... Because for 6 years they went without a squad. 9/11, they lost their mack, in 2002 they got a saulsburry squad. R-1 is run the most and were fortunate to get Pierce to build the new Rescue. All goes well there may be 4 more Pierce Rescues. There also may be an order of 60 some Fearra Engines.

  • Again, everything I've heard says they hated the Ferrara. I'd be shocked to see anything from them in the city again.

  • Were getting four new rescue of some sort possible Pierce and no we are not getiing Ferrara engines we get new Seagraves and before the 2002 E-one salusbary we 1996 had HME-salusbary rigs. On 9/11 we lost 4 of 5 rescues Rescue 4 HME surived. The ALF engines are at the rock and the 2002 resuce servies truck was used as a spare.

  • Contuine...We donnated one of the Ferrara Engine to New Orleans. But we still have 1 in front lines service with Engine 54 in Manhatten. The ALF is a Spare. And i belive that they are going to get the rescue sonn because all are running with spares (aside from Rescue 1). And no the had bought brand new rescues after 9/11 with out goverment help.

  • Why are there diffrent kind of trucks why all equipment cant be on 1 truck for every major or minor things

  • Because It There would Not be enough space for one.

  • the station i'm on, we house a small cascade/rescue, a quint, and an engine, they each have their own jobs, the quint is our "ladder" so it is equipped for "truck" operations, our rescue/cascade is equipped for MVA's, and air pack refilling, and our engine provides as a squad, and pumper. you do this, it makes it easier for the crew to find everything, its called organization, lol

  • they did not have a mack on 9/11, they had a HME/Saulsbury, it was either HR96001 or SR96001, not sure.

  • The truck the had was a 1996 Mack/Saulsbury HME... Get it right...NERD

  • Actually you are wrong...... HME had/has NO affiliation to mack... HME is their own chassis builder..

  • rescue 2 for life!

  • Very Impressive rig!

Great set of vids, keep em comin!
