There isn't going to be a cap and trade, the bill and that approach is dead. A real approach to the issue would be for the government to take over the oil and coal companies and back a new currency in energy then leverage out the oil and coal from the system with renewable energy. I have no love for cap and trade and it is failing so a better more populist approach is needed. We agree that cap and trade is not the best solution.

Carbon Dioxide does go up afterwards in previous climate scenarios, but this time isn't like ANY OTHER time because now we humans are here artificially generating CO2. So, not only does this mean this "it didn't happen that way in the past" argument not hold any water, but the fact that CO2 goes up afterwards AS WELL means we could be looking at a far worse effect than in normal cycles. We get CO2 before AND after and thus even more warming.

So... if we produce CO2 and it heats up the atmosphere causing CO2 levels to rise again... then it would be an endless cycle the second CO2 was introduced into the atmosphere. Not only that it would accelerate exponentially... hrm. That makes no sense.

How will this bill create jobs for millions of people? Where's the plan for nuclear power? Where's the plan for upgrading and expanding high-power transmission lines? I don't see any plans for job creation, only job loss - which will come mostly from higher taxes. What a scam.

Not sure about the taxes, but a carbon tax will likely be effected indirectly. High power transmission lines are probably a must. Job creation is a must, otherwise the green issue will be lost to the fact that people are jobless and homeless. Unfortunetly we don't have any geniuses in Congress to properly manage such a bill at the current time. We'll just have to hope for the best and do what we can.
