I am a die hard Jill Scott Fan. I am still listening to the FIRST album, and I am happy she feels BLESSED; but this tract seems self-indulgent, and void of real substance. It is about her life and it does not translate/transition into my very own. I am not married, I have no kids, and I was born after my Grandmother had died--so you see, I cannot not relate. I also think the beat is archaic, anemic, and seems desperate... after all my years of waiting if the entire album is like this I will cry!

Jill Scott performed on 106 & Park yesterday, and she was amazing! I must have listened to "So Blessed" 15 times since the show. I love the whole CD, but that song is my favorite!
