I love Syfy movies! Even if they are B-movies I love that they actually make movies with all these monsters. We never get movies about banshees, gargoyles, wyverns, sand serpents, killer tigers etc. from Hollywood with high budgets so this is great.

Surprisingly clever movie, yeah kinda feels like tremors but the worms creatures are very well designed and the ending is ...well, interesting. I myself am half Pathan so it was exciting to hear American actors speaking Pashtu in quite the crooked accent i speak it :) All in All great movie.

So the best part of the movie was when Andrews died. The second best was the cumulative total of 5 minutes of footage that included the title creatures. Other than that, I'd say it lived up to its "Sci-Fi Original Movie" classification, what with bad acting, minimal special effects (throwing explosives and only having character reactions to know how effective they were?), and a great deal of footage shot from the creatures' perspectives.

I'd give it a 6/10 for Sci-Fi's original movies.

For copyright to even be an issue, "Sand Serpents" would have to be utterly derivative of "Tremors". It is in fact only similar in a very superficial sense (the monsters). There do not appear to be similarities it setting, plot or characters

If the hundreds of "Aliens"-esque movies that simply replace the xenomorphs with something else aren't suspect to copyright laws, why the heck would this be?
