I have just recentley completed both good endings for chris and clair in the resident evil remake for gamecube which had good graphics, but is the sequel for the gamecube like just same graphics as the psx?

I think the gameplay is the biggest reason why I love Resident Evil 4 the best. Although I never played 2 and 3. But when I play part 1 after playing part 4, I can't figure out how to make my character do ANYTHING!
@MrHossCartwright Offcourse, the first 3 RE games were out in an era that games were actually used abit brain.. No offense, but saying that old resident evil games suck, because you like the new more sounds way too stupid to me.. Personally i like both styles but i can't help it that i used to love it more the way it was.. But if you can see new RE as what it is, you get to play a good 3rd person shooter game
why did they have to get so lazy with this one this is my favorite RE and they hardly improved the graphics..like the 1st they made the graphics wonderful...how about the 3rd
it's shitty that for 2, and 3 they were just ports with smoother graphics. if they would have done a overhaul like they did for 1, it would have been bad ass. mr. x and nemesis re-done would have been sweeeeet.
@andvas1994 Don't get it on PS2, the extras aren't worth it. If you can wait, get a WiiU and get the ii version, better gameplay, graphics, and has the extras of the PS2 version. Personally, i like the gamecube version. Haven't played the Wii version, but PS2 version sucks.
@andvas1994 The PS4 and NexBox won't be out until 2014, don't listen to those idiots, IGN, Gamespot, etc. WiiU is coming out early because Nintendo won and they feel like celebrating.

What Games, AC Revelations, Skyrim, Uncharted 3, Driver San Francisco, maybe BF3, 007 GoldenEye reloaded and Saint's Row the Third. those are the games i know are coming that time that i want.

@andvas1994 Wii still counts for this gen, they just didn't make it HD. Wii U might also count for this gen if it comes out before 2013. PS4 is still being worked on and no-one knows anything about it. People just like to think they know all of sony's secrets.
it's late for this gen so that is why i think it will fail a bit.
as Sony sayd, there is nothing to improve now. so they are working on it as they sayd but they are not stressing cause PS3 still has alot to offer. PS3 is stronger then 360 so it's not done yet.
PS3 can take the Graphics WiiU has, Xbox can not.

the Gamecube version was a mixture of the N64 version (menu at the start) PC graphics and Dual shock version i think. plus with gamecubes ati graphics texture smoothing was used to make the graphics look nice
Re2 is one of my favourite games ever! An to all the dumb fucks complaining about the graphics half of you are probably too young to have seen a ps1 and know thus was the mutts nuts back then an to me still is they don't make em like they used too, they don't even need to remake it just put it on psn and add trophy support!

I didn't get to play the first Resident Evil 1 but when I played RE2 I was still in elementary and I got hooked I played RE2-5 and I got to say I loved them all but for me 2 tops it... It was and still the scariest game I have ever played

That's right. Grafic is nothing. Gameplay is most important. I see o lot of games that there's a incredible graphics, but no gameplay. There are Super Nintendo games that even today still amazin.
@makan95 I wouldn't say R2's plot was entirely present, I will say I think it was an extension to the main story. What made R2 so great was that, it was R1 with a twist. It almost feels like Capcom made two version of Resident Evil and they didn't know which one to release first... so they threw 1 out there and then 2 (and called it a sequel). What ever the case, there was no other game in this genre with this calibur of quality and passion.

This Capcom People got lazy, they could have at least improved the graphics for the GC versions of RE 2, RE3 and CV, it's sad but I somehow got the feeling we are never going to see this classics with better graphics as we did with RE1
@EXHellfire That wasn't the intention. It would have meant a very demanding job. Resident Evil Remake was a different game from the first one, with improvements not just in the graphics, but in the gameplay and many other mechanics. You can say it was a whole new game (and an amazing one by the way). For 2 and 3 they just adapted the previous ones to the GC

@Muffintop2k7 ??? Code Veronica came out WAY BEFORE 1, 4, and 0. Please remember, 4 kinda set the graphic vibe. They moved onto the REMake of 1 and 0 both used the same graphics engined however the two were modified between games. Oh god especially Resident Evil 2 was created in 1998... 1998!!! Lol, all they did way port it and smooth the edges, may have resolved a few glitches but other than that 1998!!! Lol
resident evil 1, directors cut , 2 and 3 were by far the best, after these games the creatures become abit to alienish n not like infected animal or humans that have mutated. The gameplay changed to much to, resident evil 1 for the game cube is amazing the near photo realistic scenes are spot on game play is fast to I think they should remake resident evil 2 and 3, think how extreme they could go with them graphics in dark n dindgy city

@joaovictor1994 Yeah I totally get what you mean. The more you see, the least bit you're surprised. But then again, I the 'remake' to be one of the most scariest games ever to be played (only game in the series that's ever given me the truest survival horror experience).
@joaovictor1994 I totally get you, it's sometimes not what you completely see that scares you (opposed to actually seeing it in a high resolution/visibility standard). -But I think the 'remake' for Gamecube is easily the most scariest game within 'survival horror' existence (no other game in the series has given me that 'anxious' experience it was meant to offer than that one).
@gillianseed hell, that remake really is scary! It's that kind of game that makes you want to play a happy game after playing it, in order to feel a little better haha
wish they would have improved it like they did for RE1. be nice if they ported it to the xbox360 or ps3 with RE5 controls just to have something different.
This game was a direct port from the playstation, they did however sharpen up the gapahics a small amount but not to the affect of RE1 for GC which was a complete overhall
@JediDrallig2 Your right. Like how in the PS2 version, whenever you would kneel down to pick up an item, your upper body wold SEPERATE from your legs XD But in the GC version, the body skins actually stretched instead of seperating. Also it looked alot smoother.
@Manbeast222 yes but the one problem was they decided to port the PS1 version, when it could of had even better graphics and more features if they ported the DC version.
@noideac That's actually true, the DC version was slightly better than the PS1 version which means if they proted the DC cersion it would have been ALOT, not just slightly, better.

So far I've only played RE 0, Code Veronica, 4, and 5. RE 0 is the one that dragged me in. Out of all of those, RE5 has been the easiest one. I don't even consider it a RE game since it drove away from the whole RE thing. RE4 was also an easy game, but it was also annoying since you had to protect Ashly all the time. RE0 was great and it holds my fav combination (Rebecca + Billy). Now CV was amazing and it was also tough for me as a non-harcore RE fan.
Haven't you play RE remake, 2 and 3? I'm trying to find RE2 for GameCube. I haven't play RE5... I guess it has nothing related to RE games but the name.
I got RE Archives yesterday and so far it's good. However, because of a few things, I still consider RE0 my fav RE game. RE5 does follow the story of Christ and Wesker and has connections with the previous games. The only problem is that it is more related to RE4 than the previous games. There are hardly any puzzles and the whole horror atmosphere is gone. It's a good action game, but it's too much action-oriented and the story is kind of lame in a way. It's still good though.
I just finished RE Archives (remake) for the wii. RE0 and CV had a better horror atmosphere than RE4 and 5. I just need to play two more games so no one will ever tell me again I need to play them all to understand what a "horror atmosphere" is all about "...sorry"
I kind of agree & understand what your saying i've followed Resident evil since it came out on ps1.Try playing RE5 on professional difficulty, The one up from Veteren.. Trust me that is hard no-one can say it isn't... 1 hit & your fucked..
I've beaten that mode already. I agree that the Pro difficulty is tough because you deal less damage and your enemies deal more damage to you. What I mean by easy is that you can just run or stun enemies and past by them since there isn't usually a puzzle to solve or anything and enemies are constantly dropping items. In the previous games, you could avoid enemies, but looking for ammo was challenging considering that you also had to have some spare spots for other items. Great game though.

BTW, whit next gen consolls being so close. Xbox 720 and PS4 i'm never getting the late this gen WiiU.
Sorry, WiiU might be a bit more powerfull and suport a little stronger graphics but it's no Next Gen.
and 360 PS3 and WiiiU all get the big tittles so i'll stick to my old ones.
gotta have some mony for Xbox 720 and PS4. in 2-4 years.

@KingOfClubz100 Say. MGS4 did not come to 360 for a good reason.
The game has A Engin to strong, and Graphics that are to big for the 360.
So all in all the game would need 6-7 discs on 360.
Now MGS Rising use a Upgraded Version of the MGS4 engin. upgraded means made so Xbox can take it.
the Graphics are smaler but still better. but PS3 version will be superior as the Director sayd.
PS3 was made to last 10 years. ok in 5 years it will be outdated, so don't think it wil live so long.

What i really want to see is a develepor (say Hideo Kojima) really use the streangth of the PS3.
and make a game that really USe the best possible graphics on the PS3.
i don't really care to much about graphics, but it would be nice to really get a feel of how powerfull PS3 is before PS4 get's shown at some E3.

They sayd Fuck the DLC's and just make the game work whit Move and we can sell it as a totaly new game.
But this time i think Sony was right. Kojima could have made it 2 disck if he wanted to.
But he did not need to since the Blu-ray Disc can take so much more.

the Gamecube version was a mixture of the N64 version (menu at the start) PC graphics and Dual shock version i think. plus with gamecubes ati graphics texture smoothing was used to make the graphics look nice

Yah I dont care about Paul Mercer as Haddad is better and plus he only voice Leon in RE4 (which to me was more like RE5).

I didn't get to play the first Resident Evil 1 but when I played RE2 I was still in elementary and I got hooked I played RE2-5 and I got to say I loved them all but for me 2 tops it... It was and still the scariest game I have ever played

@makan95 I wouldn't say R2's plot was entirely present, I will say I think it was an extension to the main story. What made R2 so great was that, it was R1 with a twist. It almost feels like Capcom made two version of Resident Evil and they didn't know which one to release first... so they threw 1 out there and then 2 (and called it a sequel). What ever the case, there was no other game in this genre with this calibur of quality and passion.

@EXHellfire That wasn't the intention. It would have meant a very demanding job. Resident Evil Remake was a different game from the first one, with improvements not just in the graphics, but in the gameplay and many other mechanics. You can say it was a whole new game (and an amazing one by the way). For 2 and 3 they just adapted the previous ones to the GC

They moved onto the REMake of 1 and 0 both used the same graphics engined however the two were modified between games. Oh god especially Resident Evil 2 was created in 1998... 1998!!! Lol, all they did way port it and smooth the edges, may have resolved a few glitches but other than that 1998!!! Lol

@joaovictor1994 Yeah I totally get what you mean. The more you see, the least bit you're surprised. But then again, I the 'remake' to be one of the most scariest games ever to be played (only game in the series that's ever given me the truest survival horror experience).

@joaovictor1994 I totally get you, it's sometimes not what you completely see that scares you (opposed to actually seeing it in a high resolution/visibility standard). -But I think the 'remake' for Gamecube is easily the most scariest game within 'survival horror' existence (no other game in the series has given me that 'anxious' experience it was meant to offer than that one).

@JediDrallig2 Your right. Like how in the PS2 version, whenever you would kneel down to pick up an item, your upper body wold SEPERATE from your legs XD But in the GC version, the body skins actually stretched instead of seperating. Also it looked alot smoother.

Due to poor sales of the first remake, the GC versions of 2 & 3 were just a PS1 port. So as far as the graphics, it can be either or.

So far I've only played RE 0, Code Veronica, 4, and 5. RE 0 is the one that dragged me in. Out of all of those, RE5 has been the easiest one. I don't even consider it a RE game since it drove away from the whole RE thing. RE4 was also an easy game, but it was also annoying since you had to protect Ashly all the time. RE0 was great and it holds my fav combination (Rebecca + Billy). Now CV was amazing and it was also tough for me as a non-harcore RE fan.

I got RE Archives yesterday and so far it's good. However, because of a few things, I still consider RE0 my fav RE game. RE5 does follow the story of Christ and Wesker and has connections with the previous games. The only problem is that it is more related to RE4 than the previous games. There are hardly any puzzles and the whole horror atmosphere is gone. It's a good action game, but it's too much action-oriented and the story is kind of lame in a way. It's still good though.

I just finished RE Archives (remake) for the wii. RE0 and CV had a better horror atmosphere than RE4 and 5. I just need to play two more games so no one will ever tell me again I need to play them all to understand what a "horror atmosphere" is all about "...sorry"

I've beaten that mode already. I agree that the Pro difficulty is tough because you deal less damage and your enemies deal more damage to you. What I mean by easy is that you can just run or stun enemies and past by them since there isn't usually a puzzle to solve or anything and enemies are constantly dropping items. In the previous games, you could avoid enemies, but looking for ammo was challenging considering that you also had to have some spare spots for other items. Great game though.
