When they arent any yoshi's on the screen, pause the game once until you hear your wii stop making the sound. Then unpause and re-pause VERY QUICKLY. wait for the loading sound to stop from your wii, then unpause. Two more Yoshis should appear. keep Doing this, you should kill about 20+ Yoshi's while still on the boat.

You can try pausing the game when you hear the Wii loading Yoshis. Once loaded, unpause. (I haven't tried this yet, but it may work)

Big tip: Pause the game. Really. The console makes noises when it loads, right? So by pausing the game, you can wait for the next yoshi to spawn without wasting time! It works, trust me. That's the trick.

TYSM! You are 100% correct. People, just kill a yoshi and pause. Then wait for it to stop making noise and have the analog stick(assuming you're using the GC controller) slightly tilted upwards. Unpause, push A and repeat. Sometimes you'll have to wait a tiny bit before you pause BUT THIS STILL WORKS! I completed this on hard in under 2 minutes using the "stop start" method.

me and a mate did it on hard in 2.10sec and it took hours to do it. we used both characters and i found that you should onl kill 1 yoshi at a time otherwise they take too long to resporn. try to stay in the top centre of the screen where they resporn

I tried over and over and over and over for hours with my friend, and we always had the same problem; no matter how fast we killed, they would randomly have respawn gaps. I looked this video up, and did exactly what you did. I got my friend to run pit into the pit, and did the whole thing solo. first try I got closer than we ever had, second try did it in slightly better time than even your video! It really does seem that something happens when there's 2 players that screws it all up. Thanks!

Well, the Yoshis gravitate towards the nearest opponent, so with two it'll be harder to predict their movements.

finally did it, every other mission after this is pretty easy. even though i was just lucky on the mr. game & watch one, killing the 3 black characters. when i was just wondering how the hell this would be possible, i got hammer hit number 9, and it killed all 3.

Lmao i was doing it with my 4 yr old nephew and he wasn't really fighting although he does know how to play and he basiclly made all the yoshis run to him which made it even harder but i still made it till 4 were left but then i just skipped the event lol.

No, the game just seems to have to load each and every Yoshi... Kinda silly, but that's how it's done. I've found that KOing them at a steady rate makes it less likely to hang up when loading Yoshis.

i can get to 9 yoshi's left with my friend and 5 yoshis left solo, but im having a problem with the yoshi's will stop spawning for like 4-6 seconds and i lose a lot of time like that, it usually happens 2-3 times durring the event if anyone knows how to keep them from doing that tell me

Yeah, happened to me a bit, too. If you listen carefully, you can hear that your system is reading the disc when that happens. Apparently, it has to LOAD the Yoshis. Sometimes it seems to mess up and take awhile.

Lame, I know. However, if you beat them at a steady pace, it seems to help.

Killing Pit off might have actually avoided more distractions and bad yoshi spawns/accidents. That may very well be the key to it. I know in two player the Yoshis spawn randomly anywhere in the area between the two players but with only one player they spawn perfectly ripe for the killing.

I wouldn't know about where they spawn, but they'll only move towards Meta Knight if he's the only character on screen.

I just had to do it by myself when my teammate gave up.
