@Sagent10 holy crap, I live in Brazil and found out about this song when I went to New York over a year ago and it was playing at the store! I tried really hard to memorize part of the lyrics and rushed to google when I got back to the hotel hahah

I like the way they use their voice as an instrument in this song. I mean usually when someone sing the voice goes up a down when we are trying to "speak" the words, but in this case its like fluently. No se como explicarlo, solo se que me gusta esta cancion. Keep doing more songs like these.
@cdcddccf You don't explain it well, but somehow, I knew what you're talking about. I feel the same way. It's like the words are flowing with the music and not the other way around. In other words, the music leads the vocals and somehow, it's beautiful.
aaaah! i've been trying to find this song for longer then sanity allows i just about wet myself when i heard 'sometimes i go whole days listening bored half asleep'
I favorited this song ages ago and I still think it's absolutely brilliant - it's one of those rare songs you can hear over and over and just never get fed-up. U2's '4th of July' is like that too - Does anyone know if 'the School' are coming to London?

Oh really, "The Edge", "The Edge" is from U2???? Wow yeah that guy is awesome, lets bow to his greatness. I like some of U2s stuff, but please, anyone who refers to themselves using a nickname of an inanimate object obviously thinks they are the $h1t however are actually a huge douche.
Some of U2 and their friends gave each other nicknames when they were teenagers, based on how the word sounded. The Edge's stuck, as did Bono's. I think it's mostly what people call him, rather than him calling himself it.
Everytime I hear this song, I love it as much as the very first. The entire composition is pure brilliance, from the infectious beat to the airy vocals & heavenly melody. It's simply genius! ;)

Someone should make an extended version of this. As in, fifteen minutes of this song, so we don't have to keep restarting it.

I was starting to think I was too old to get enthusiastic about new bands, but these guys really got my attention.
As a huge fan of bands that defy genre (Spiritualized, Belle & Sebastian, Not Drowning Waving), I hope The School does really well.
I hate to make comparisons, but they sound like all my High School Indie band faves combined into one gorgeous sonic package. Awesome!

Sometimes I go whole days
listening bored, half sleep
I won't say anything
that's worth a thing to me
One day, suddenly, time
took a turn that once felt so brief
I blinked to see polite ghosts fading quickly
