If you're not English, and you speak English (obviously with a different accent distorting and deforming our good language) please don't say we're getting it wrong. We wouldn't re-write the rules of baseball and claim you're doing it wrong.

There are silent letters in every language.

Also, you can still hear the 'r' in her pronunciation. So she's just saying the word in a shorter and more clipped way than most north americans.

By the way, "pneumonia" is Greek, and the Greeks did pronounce the "P". "Gnat" is from old German, and they pronounced the "G". You "masters of English" were the ones who mangled those words with un-phonetic silent nonsense.
