"I think the coolest part about this fight is that you have 2 timers to worry about on that final boss. You have sonic and shadow's ring timer to manage as well as the so called "enrage" timer you hit from taking too long that kills everyone anyway. Definitely good times .

I have come to realize that the 99 lives that you have garnered up to the point where the goody guys and dark guys team up were meant for this single biolizard here. The first time with Shadow that is. The last boss was too easy to consider a pain.

Actually I did some reading up on it and apparently the lizard begins to hyperventilate because it chases shadow for longer than it can handle. This is why it stops to catch breath and a good enough time for shadow to attack.
