tip: let your index finger focus only on the 5th and 1st string. that way you don't have to push your index finger all the way down ( let it bend a little ). Also curl your index finger a bit. Believe me, it works. Im 5'3 tall and have short fingers ( gives you an idea of the size of my hands ).

I have a tip that is WAY too easy and it takes the stress away, although it's not a perfect solution. Do exactly what he does until the end:

Pinky - 4 fret, 3 string

Ring -  4 fret, 4 string

Middle - 3 fret, 2 string

**Index - 2 fret, 1 sting

The 5th and 6th string are left untouched, and you have a lazy chord. It CAN sound cool even with a full G chord for example beside it. It is also possible to play all the chords for that particular song in a shortened way to match. <3

There's always another way to play it, but I would recommend you play it the hard way so you can get use to it. Remember, it takes practice.

@Gaphias13 I'm not trained for guitar either. Most professional guitar-players I know aren't trained. They just played for fun until they got good. There is actually an easier way to play Bm (xx44321) if that helps you at all. Most bar chords are just hard for me; I have short fat fingers and not a lot of strength in my hands in the first place.

And the secret to learning any technique (for me) is to learn a song I love with it in it, and then play the crap out of it.

tip- try putting a capo on the 7th fret and play the chord, I found it easier to learn it where the frets are smaller first, then transffering to the larger frets. Gook luck :)

just keep practicing it, it's helpful to find a song that has this chord and similar chords in it so you can work on getting to that chord...the one i'm learning right now is The Way You Are by Bruno Mars D, Bm, G, and D again

only three chords so it's nothing crazy...just keep working on it and it will become easier
