People need their freedom to speak out, even if it's sometimes inconvenient for others. That's what free speech is. The exercising of it is sometimes messy. People need their freedom to speak out, even if it's sometimes inconvenient for others. That's what free speech is. The exercising of it is sometimes messy. If people were allowed to just speak, they will naturally say their peace and then it will be over. We've all got to learn to be more tolerant of random behavior that doesn't fit the mold. There's an irrational fear that it will get out of hand. There is no violence here, just passion. Learn to let strong energy come and go.

-section 1021(e): bill can't be used to affect any existing law or authorities for detention of US citizens, lawful resident aliens, or any other persons who are captured or arrested in the United States (not sure but I think this could be construed that they can still do anything to anybody OUTSIDE American borders).

What people should do in cases like this during a protest, if someone is on the verge of being arrested and grabbed by a policemen, everyone protesting should literally stick together...and by that I mean, the people protesting with her should grab hold onto her and onto each other, like a human shield. If this is done by the hundreds, this will show the authorities that we will stick together and not stand without a fight. I remember doing this as a game at a camp during high school...
