I teach English as a second language, and have many Mexican students whose parents work on dairy farms here in the midwest of the US. I have often told them that they are not the first people to be turned on here - if the immigration laws that are in place now were in place back when my people came over, I surely wouldn't be here because they were IRISH. I just found out about this story and am so glad you've played this song to remember them. May they rest in peace.
