  • This thing's like Final Fight on Steroids. XD

  • If you don't mind me asking, who is Susan, and do you still love her?

  • I didn't make this game, honestly.

  • Man, those sweet moves that Krush does at 0:51 are hilarious, hahaha. This game takes me back!

  • this music really makes me think of the music from the Power Rangers the Movie game on Genesis

  • But it does look pretty unique and fun

  • This is like yuppie final fight

  • 2:19 Wow! I've never seen a double team move (even if an involuntary one) in a beat'em-up before! ^^

  • Check out the Simpsons arcade game, or if you're adventurous, Nightmare Circus.

  • @BigBangBlitz Haven't seen these two yet. Don't have much experience with arcade games so far.

  • haha skinheads

  • Reminds me of Pit Fighter turned into a scrolling beat-em-up.

  • Check out a game called "Guardians of the Hood". It actually came out before Pit Fighter.

  • I need to find this, Looks hilarious chucking guys into windows and all that. Amazingly funny!

  • Google MAME, learn what it is and how to use it, look up MAME program and MAME ROMS on ebay. You should get it all, on about 6 Disc or something like that. You have to do a lot of reading and go through trial & errors to undersand it all. Mostly on installing on PC and controller settings. Onece you have it up and running, your childhood memories will come back. Trust me!

  • Guys, don't pay for dvd's from vultures or even well meaning game enthusiasts.

I set up a torrent on Demonoid (Deepgamers Mame)that has every possible game and thing for Mame, and if you can't get it there then it's on the internet somewhere!

It's 300 gigs all together so make some space!

  • @BigBangBlitz

That's a bold statement considering you're looking at violating about 3,800 or more copyrights in one way or another...just sayin'- I wouldn't advertise bro...

  • @BigBangBlitz Do you have an abridged version which only contains games worth playing? I remember that I used to have the MAME emulator on a dvd somewhere, until I lost it. One of the roms was cassette tape hockey. My brother and I literally waited about 20 minutes waiting for it to "load," even with the speed increased, only to enter a game with horrible controls, clunky design and a lack of two-player mode.

I doubt I'd want to relive the experience.

  • @BigBangBlitz you're the man BigBangBlitz!

  • If I understood this game right: Buzz (guy in blue shirt) is missing his pants, and now they are turning the city upside down to find them?!

  • Looks fun. Though, I wish it was a home console version of this game.

    "Listen Up!" "Aww, man!" LMAO

    -kid thunder

  • i wanted to rent this game for years, always out of stock at blockbuster.. finally gave up on it... i cant believe i missed out on this game... so awesome

  • That was a different Brute Force. Not that the X-box one was bad, but it ain't no Brute Force, if you know what I mean.

  • Uh... well I have absolutely played Brute Force, in the arcade.

    Good times.

  • this reminds me of paperboy, narc, and 720° Skate or Die. I played the xbox brute force, it was fun cooperation with friends. poor man's halo!

  • These games are magic. Love it.

  • are you jk me? when did this come out 1990?

    haha

it reminds me of renegades....another terrible side scroller beat em up

  • Woah Buzz looks so tough in his little white shorts and bobby socks.

  • @Azure701 lofl, so do those mma guys that beat the snot out of people.

  • you probably prefered the michael jackson homo in orange pants. lmfao

  • How many stages did this game have? I vaguely remember seeing this game when I was younger and seeing the demo mode feature several "wanted" posters that probably represented stages or enemies to be killed. Completed stages were shown with a big spray-painted X over the target's poster, and a big crosshair over the current target.

Is it from this game or something else entirely?

  • It is from this. There are seven stages.

  • I'm glad I remembered correctly then. I never got a chance to stuff quarters in this game like I wanted before it vanished off the face of the Earth.

Do you think you could do a stage-by-stage 3-players runthrough of this game and record it for posterity? I'd love to finally see a complete playthrough of this part of my childhood I never got to fully experience.

  • We have done it three times on our livestream channel, dman99. As the website name implies, it happened live. The games reputation is such that if you request it there it will probably be played again. That and Trio the Punch or Contra III.

  • If you can tell me how to get to and use that site, I'd appreciate it. I would prefer a recorded walkthrough posted here, though, since I'd like to watch it again and again.

I can't think of any other titles (aside from this one and Capcom's Dead Rising) where you can throw people into store windows and through the TV screens behind, or have as much fun smashing skulls with a guitar.

  • There's a link to the page on the description of my youtube channel.

Livestream also has video on demand so live broadcasts can be recorded and replayed ad-nauseum, without me having to spend months uploading clips.

  • I think I like how the "corpses" in this game are depicted as chalk outlines. A simple yet effective way of showing where a dead body was, and perfectly G-rated as well!

  • this game is incredibly stupid yet awesome at the same time.

  • Where the hell have I heard those grunts before....

    those oomphs and aahs.

I swear they're from another game

  • wwf super wrestlemania

  • Im so glad there is a video of this game and yeah this is a criminally overlooked game. Found this on my Mame emulator the other day and now I cant stop playing it!

  • No matter how many times I play it, anytime I start I end up playing all the way through!

    It's a special game.

  • i love this game so much.

  • Cybattler is a reeeeeeaaally

    overlooked game

  • I think youtube is broken. No ones replies are going where they should. But yes, I agree.

  • This game probably could have had legs if it were a lot less "lol90s" (the music, rank and file "punk" enemies and heroes alike, the "hip" voices whenever you did ANYTHING, etc.)

  • YO LELAND RAP

DO DO DO DONT ST ST STOP

  • Nice, another gem uncovered!

Whenever i mention games like Osman & Violent Storm i'm always met with blank faces..

If i could make a suggestion..

I always felt that the excellent Hyperduel (arcade) by Technosoft was a criminally overlooked game..

It is an excellent horizontal scrolling space shooter with great graphics & gameplay, it was also released on the Saturn but in limited quantities..

  • Probably the most obscure Technosoft game and a good choice. I billed this as a "Thunderforce killer" the first time I saw it, but turns out the company made both games. I actually have this in the line up next to "Cybattler" by Jaleco, so i'll get to it eventually.

  • @BigBangBlitz rap is dead, homo

  • @belgurdo this aint 90s, douche.

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork Has anyone ever told you that you come off as a total cunt?

  • @cheesewilly i've been called a jerk and an asshole before but that's just because other people hate it when they're wrong. maybe if you bought some more neurons and got brain transplant you would have known that the sounds was 80s rock/techno along the lines of "a split second".

    case closed

  • lmfao badass! ILUVSUSAN haha

  • If they gave this game some idiosyncrasies in character and level design besides short shorts, it could have been great. the rotating sprites during the "spin cycle" are quite nice.

  • Well, it does have Brock Samson, Snake Plisken, and that guy from Breakin' II: Electric Boogaloo, so thats something.

  • list list listen up to bad kept tryin this game kept DS

  • Worked the first time with Mame32++ .119.

You still need to get some ram though.

  • LOL!

This vieo is making my dog go nuts!

  • It's better than your nuts going dog, believe me.

  • Who wears short shorts? Buzz wears short shorts!

  • They are comfortable and easy to wear.

  • lol. Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow/Fire Red/Leaf Green reference

  • This actually looks fun

  • It's fun.. TO THE MAX.
