the only part that bugged me about this video is the lady saying basically "no u dont have to pay someone to tune guitars backstage" and "tuning used to take 4 to 5 MINUTES"..........u should never need someone to tune ur guitar for you nor should it take so long to tune, if u cant even tune ur guitar then wtf man?
'guitar hero' sounds stupid. i take 2 min. tuning when i am recording. When composing, i ignore off notes. When going LIVE - i would not use 5 min. With practice, you could move the machines faster than the device. Does the device always tune from a 'flat' orientation? It must. I DO SEE MERIT HERE but what about Gibson's intonations? Sometimes you off-tune ON PURPOSE & bend/press so it sounds on pitch! I had to redo all my Gibsons (&Martins) Only my OLD Alvarez was on. Thanks.
this would be especially useful on a guitar with a floyd rose trem. its very difficult to tune and intonate normally. however i still feel that a person should at least know how to tune etc before letting a robot do it for them.
Yeah, I agree. People used to ask me if I played guitar hero, and I don't. Its a fun party game, but it is really kinda lame how good people actually get at playing it. I'm like, why don't you just spend that time learning how to play? Its so much more rewarding! Just another symptom of the fast-food culture, in my opinion.
omg cant people who play guitar learn to tune it?

soo, teaching kids to let guitar tune itself rather than tune the instrument themselves is supposed to make them better musicians? somethings wrong

this just for people who want their tuning to be become completely easy and effortless

A musician is someone that plays music, not someone that tunes a guitar. This just means they have more time to play.
