Old White Sox Park, as it was called when I was growing up, was a stadium ahead of its time when built because it eschewed the "nooks and crannies" approach which ruins so many of the Faux-Retro's being built today. A park with baseball sightlines symmetrical and hence fair to all hitters need not have been "soulless," and Sox Park proved that fact. Of the newer ones, I miss the Busch because at least they made an attempt to incorporate the "Arch" design element to "stand out" as "St Louis."
:( I hate watching any kind of sports arena demolishion.....same goes for malls and stuff like that....I hate to see the eras die...all the memories be squashed flat....the people who lived and died watching their team there, people who went to their graves before the stadiums were leveled, never dreaming that place would no longer exist...this is more than baseball too...places like the Kingdome, the Seahawks used to play there, and the NBA SuperSonics won their only championship there....
u kno what pisses me off is the fact that the miller park is too small for the packers to come and play in if they knew that would happen, they should have never demolished county stadium
I will always remember my fallen brother, Shea Stadium, that was also my second home. My father sat in the Mets dugout when the stadium was being built, and we watched it fall. I will also consider Citi Field Shea Stadium.

Anyone ever notice the striking resemblance Milwaukee County Stadium bears compared to Shea Stadium? They look eerily similar...

They should have left Memorial and Veterans Stadiums up as tributes to all who have died in defense of our country.

Memorial Stadium was a good home for the Orioles, at least now they have a good home in Camden Yards now.
