the audience there must be the mums and dads of the performers....they look a bit solemn....as for me this piece always makes tears run down my face...truely beautiful music and well performed.
It's very nice, but the sopranos are often under the note (I don't know exactly the term for it), especially at 'in excelsis'. Maybe some breathing and sustain exercise would help, because it happens mostly on the long notes
Bravo! I love this piece. You did it justice. Lovely! A bit heavy and loud on the strings which probably makes it hard for the singers to hear themselves resulting in them being a bit flat. But overall, very nice. Thank you!
uff. Al menos no desafinan. LENTO, TEMEROSO, INSEGURO EN LAS CUERDAS... Al coro le falta mucha técnica. Suena mucho aire.
They're missing balls. I think that's how you say it in English. In Uruguay and Argentina and I believe Chile also, "huevos" are what Mexicans call "cojones"
You may not realize it , but these people are performing for the sole reason that they love music . It is joyous ,not only because of ,but in spite of the performance's imperfections .
Ok... I am am sobbibg hysterically! Beautiful job! I have goosbumps.... thank you so much for sharing! Doesn't the first movement repeat later in the mass?
I think that a HArpsichor will make more sense to the piece. May be you can change the timpany.
The only thling that i can say, seen that you take so well the comments, is that you can profite the fact of being a Church Choir: Gloria is not wathever word. One shall thanks more passion in the choir: listening the sound one can't never imagin that it is a prayer exalting God.
Well, first of all, thank you for the audience! We are a church choir and all the singers are volunteers, amateurs, with no formal music education. Making the Vivaldi's Gloria was an important and pleasant challenge for us. Your your comments will help us to learn and improve, thanks. God bless you!
I'm a church organist & music direct for 30 yrs, same thing, volunteers only a few with formal education. I think you did a dynamite job with this, you had an orchestra I didnt! I played the score on organ Pronunciation was just fine . I'll tell you something I picked up as a trick to this piece with pronunciation. instead of singing "Gloria" sing it as "Claudia" and it will stand out more.

Too slow. It takes away half of the emotion. It really sounds boring. The choir sounds like they don't give a damn. Les faltan huevos!!

where are the alto's at 2.01? :P
maddybear5 4 years ago
I hear them just fine. o.o
I remember in my class they allowed our altos to sing the tenor's part at times. Perhaps you couldn't hear them because they were so low.
FallenAngelle07 3 years ago
Perhaps.
But I also asked where they were because I couldn't here them. If you can hear them, good for you.
Sheesh.

I thought it was a bit slow, but I was really impressed with the male parts of the choir - really strong!
rosamund123 4 years ago
yes, we're going to perform the whole gloria in d-major (d-dur, I don't know if that's right in english) from vivaldi in our chorus!
sweetMissMalfoy 4 years ago
We are inspired by this chorus as we´re going to perform this song.
