@dowzaful I just play it the way I hear it. I don't know if it's the 100% right way to play it but I just play what feels right to me. Once I get my lazy ass motivated I'll make a tutorial on how I play the song so maybe subscribe to my channel so you can be notified once I make the video.

Sir, I find it interesting that you did a great cover and so many people have been giving you back handed compliments. Yes I will note that you have an interesting voice, but it's not bad. It would be like saying that Billie Joe Armstrong has a bad voice. His voice makes Green Day sound like green day. If they did a cover of Gotye it wouldn't sound like the original it would be a true cover. I see that as what you've done, and I applaud your musicianship. Keep playing.

I realise not everyone likes the way I play it which is fine, you can't make everyone happy, but if people are going to criticise then they should really do it in a fashion that's intelligent and constructive rather than just seeing one negative and using that to base their whole opinion of the song.
