  • Don't be attached to the Dai-Gohonzon, it is a material object. If the Daishonin wanted us to enshrine an eternal sacred object he would have had it engraved in stone. In time it will deteriorate. Let us LIVE the daigohonzon by engaging in Kosen Rufu.

  • If you are searching for real spiritual informationNeed to go a little deeper?Unleash your true psychic powers.THE-HIDDEN-SPIRITdotCOM It is time to change the world.

  • .It is the same with a Buddha and an ordinary being. When deluded, one is called an ordinary being, but when enlightened, one is called a Buddha. This is similar to a tarnished mirror that will shine like a jewel when polished. A mind now clouded by the illusions of the innate darkness of life is like a tarnished mirror, but when polished. it is sure to become like a clear mirror, reflecting the essential nature of phenomena and the true aspect of reality.

  • Gibberish.

  • impecable!!!

  • We indeed have to edify every single person who chants Nam Myoho Renge Kyo

I see the current conflict between the SGI and Nichiren Shoshu as being maybe a basic cause to the current cataclysm in Japan

Conflict and mutual recrimination are not Buddhist and do not create peace

We should all chant for each other and for peace in the World. Rely on the Law – expressed as the Dai Gohonzon and not the Person!

  • @maxwellison "edify" - is that like 'educate' or more like a graduation, a 'praising for being good for so long'? I agree either way ... 'praise them' because chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo set one's mind right (like reciting multiplication-tables or alphabets), 'educate' in the meaning of Nam Myoho Renge Kyo itself---the world's basic truth.

  • Also you can read the entire Rissho Ankoku Ron for yourself in the at the websitre of sgilibrary.

(The English language title of the Rissho Ankoku Ron is: On Establishing the Correct Teaching for the Peace of the Land)

  • For more information you can check out the website for sokaspirit

  • Greetings. I have read all of the writings of Nichiren Daishonin, the entire Lotus Sutra and also all of the Orally Transmitted Teachings. From my understanding of the Rissho Ankoku Ron, the cause of calamities and disasters is when priests twist the Buddhist teachings for their own gain and power. This is a description of the sect currently occupying the Head Temple at Taisekiji.

  • @LynetteYetter "the cause of calamities and disasters is when priests twist the Buddhist teachings for their own gain and power. This is a description of the sect currently occupying the Head Temple at Taisekiji."

Utter nonsense. Nichiren Shoshu has not changed its teachings one iota. SGI, in contrast, has done a 180-degree turn and is slandering the temple again just like in the 1970s. SGI is an Ikeda-worshipping cult.

  • The Universe, according to Buddha, is governed by one single umbrella law based on the science and rhythm of cause and effect, and he said that mankind would eventually prove this.

    This law which should be chanted by the human voice is called;

    Nam Myoho Renge Kyo.

By chanting aloud every day for at least 10 minutes, one can put oneself into perfect rhythm with the Universe, and therby gain insights, wisdom, energy, happiness and benefits that would be otherwise not be available to us.

  • Excellent Expoundment, but some might be a little misled---due in large part to the belief that there is only one Buddha. What empowered Nichiren's teachings was that they were reflective of the fact that we are ALL Buddhas. The Lotus Sutra IS NOT 'Nichiren' speaking from Holy Eagle Peak, but another (names don't matter). And our world is only at the same "Tipping Point" it has always been.

  • @mythmanjay wow awsome i like waht u wrote can i ask u some quetsions about nichirens writings?

  • @Buddhist1986 I must admit I have not read all of Nichiren's writings, but I might find them and read them on my channel where we can discuss them (and I'll try not to use 'an accent' too much, as I might have when I was first learning of Nichiren Buddhism).

In fact, you might find my readings of my introduction to Nichiren Buddhism if you search my channel. Ask questions there :-)

  • Many religions and gifts but it all manifests from one spirit and one God. On your journey keep in mind, anything that leads you away from the teachings of Jesus and the truth of who he is not of the spirit of God. God's spirit is a unifies. It brings love, peace and a sound mind. In whatever religion you practice, if it does not line up with Jesus'/God's teachings of these things then a red flag should be raised in your mind..a small portion of what i am learning on my journey..Peace& Blessings

  • @Nikbones I agree with you. 2 Corinthians 12:2–4, not 1 Corinthians. Sorry. A ' passing comment' from Paul, where he saw unutterable mysteries. God opens a Christian mystic path for some. Rooted in Scripture, but it is not for everyone-- at least not yet. If you seek, be careful to avoid gnosticism and confusion. Remember, the Way is not meant for the worldly wisened and learned, but for children. You must think exactly like a child to find it. Blessings.

  • Thanks for this.

  • peace to you and i hope master buddha bless on you

  • is this indian buddhist prayer?

  • Wow! Beautiful!!

  • Very Encouraging........Leaves you feel pure and refreshed...

  • its nice to hear the right pronunciation. beautiful video as well.

  • wuahh !!

  • beautiful and learned video thank you for sharing and making my understanding go further.

  • Love & LIght

    Namaste

  • a lot of principles in the Lotus Sutra are also in the Bible..I think that followers of the Bible misinterpret its meanings but Nichiren buddhism I find hits it right on the head...However, I am confused as to where Jesus(not necessarily Christianity)plays apart in the whole spiritual picture?Just like other great Buddhas exsisted and expounded the truth of the universe unto the earth, why is it believed that Jesus' way, or example is the only one we should except??Y didnt God spread Buddhism 2

  • We align with divinity through the many mansions of light created by ultimate reality or God, the unknowable Yaweh. We are beings of light evolving to higher levels of enlightenment by which we transcend the sufferings of life and death. By these means we arrive at the throne of divinity and within the house of the eternal Buddha. In western society this resurrection is through the love of Christos. Nam Myo Ho Renge Kyo is highest language of light.

  • by saying that nmhrk is the "highest", although i believe it is transformative, wouldnt that be just like saying, my way is better than your way, like many believers of Jesus do?? I guess i feel that we all come from different levels of understanding so whatever works for you is gonna always be best for you, but to say my religion is better is another way we allow ego to take control of something pure. dont you agree?

  • The way I understand it is that it is very probable that Jesus was exposed to eastern philosophies or budhism. Alexander the great 300 years before him wen't to India. So more then likely through the library of Alexandria in egypt scholars were familiar with the budhist concepts and gospels.

Some even suggest that he wen't as far as Cashmir but that is another debate, There is no contradiction betwens these teachings, they are worded differently because they come from different cultures.

  • The Gohonzon we chant to is a gateway in our mindsand hearts or a deeply held eternal memory. This mandala is the the mystic truth within our lives Nam Myoho Renge Kyo ,the mystic truth within our lives ,represents the ceremony in the air which is the Gohonzon which is beyond space and time, omniscient, all knowing, oneness of all, infinite intelligence, infinite life, compassion, wisdom, compassionand enlightenment and therfore GOD CONSCIOUSNESS

  • @Nikbones read paul in 1 cornithians on spirtual gifts. there is a hidden meaning to the words of Jesus, and Paul. What do you think paul meant when he saw the third heaven? Blessings.

  • @williamkh I read chapter 12 on spiritual girfts and I didnt see anything about a third heaven. I dont know what he meant

  • evrything thats good in the world is from god, jesus was lucky that his followers spread the word about his devine powers but there were more ppl from that time with ''holy'' powers the only thing is that they never reached the writers and the storytellers of that time. like for nowadays certain ppl in the world are known by every one of us. And yet some ppl with even more talent are just undiscoverd, , ill let u solve the riddle.

  • @skoomapipe Yes Jesus says with Faith we all can perform the works he did and even greater! His purpose was not to come to show of his "holy magical powers"...it was to give mankind a way to be made clean before the God who created us. No man, or woman, or whoever..has claimed that in history...EXCEPT Jesus. If they did, i'm sure we would have heard about that as well. His ONE purpose was to come and die in the manner that was predicted hundreds of yrs before his coming, so that we can be

  • @Nikbones jesus the deity of the old testament and new testament preached a message of hatred for 1800 yers before he changed it his message to his followrs in isreal was DUET 13:6-18 kill unbeleivers,LEV 25:44-46,EX 21:7 own slaves,1 sam 15:1-3 stab infants to death,LEV 20;13 kill gays,LEV 24:16 kill those who SPEAK bad about ur deity(blasphemy the lords name)& their are hundreds more evil teachings that came out of that book if anyone thinks im lieing feel free to google theses verses.

  • @skoomapipe CONT'D : forgiven for our sins. And that is EXACTLY what he did.

  • Without a doubt...one of the best videos I've sen on Buddhism, and Nichiren Buddhism in particular! Thank you!

  • Fantastic!

  • Who sings this??

  • @ZombieNatalie:

The music is by a very famous composer and artist called KITARO and its called 'Heaven And Earth (Land Theme).

  • Thank you so much for this information : )

    God Bless.

  • Kitaro..I just remember the low audio, and now with all my respect to the authorities. I really know this can help..I'm better day by day and I hope to do something to help others always! Nam Myoho Renge Kyo

  • how do you sit when u chant this and what do you put your hands like and stuff my granda was a bhuddist and he chanted evry day but he died :( so id like to show sum respect for him

  • sit in a half-lotus or full-lotus form and cup ur hands into a "buddha bowl" where the tip of ur thumbs connect to each other.

  • Well, the possition as in "way of sitting" is just a formality. You want to make sure your position is upright and respectful. cross your legs in a lotus position, or sit over your feet. hands may be in the bowl position described bellow or in the known prayer position, that is in fact a buddhist position for respectufl and attentive hearing. There are also Beads you may want to aquire, but they're not obligatory. Just make sure that when you chan you do it with all your being as one. :)

  • Nichiren's Buddhism contains the simple practice which is a culmination of all yoga/meditation. A person can come to realize causation as a law of personal and world history.

Nichiren's real teaching has been protected by people who really practice in the real world.

Some priests have historically been corrupt, including the Fuji Sect. Buddhism is not the domain of priests anymore. A High Priest excommunicated 12 million lay believers who would not obey him. How twisted that was.,

  • supersexydude, I have done all sorts of chanting thoughout my life, and I have to admit, I am feeling ready for the Gohonzon. This is the only chant that really has changed me for the better. Somehow, yes, it is different than other chanting or meditating.

With Buddhism, you don't put blind faith first...not ever. You experiance it, if you love it, continue with the faith it works, if not, try something else. Nichiren is not dogmatic, because you can believe in, or have other practises too.

  • I've had my Gohonzon for a little over a week now and I felt the power of Nam Myoho Renge Kyo if not immediately. It was by far one of the strangest and emotional weeks I've ever had. Some say it's all the Karma coming out. I felt a whole range of emotions in regards to Nichiren Buddhism and the SGI, but I can wholeheartely say the chanting is powerful. The stronger my faith the more I feel it. My life is gaining purpose, my human revolution is underway. I encourage all to help the universe,

  • It's a beautiful practice.

  • This Buddha essence is our divine birthright ; infused within the collective remebrance of our God-selves; that which pulsates through every cell of our being, that which is the thread of cosmic consciuosness that connects us all to the ultimate wisdom of the absolute. Nam Myoho Renge Kyo ~ Blessings~

  • An illuminating and profound truth is revealed in this beautiful video. This buddha nature is within us all if we allow our true nature and divine light to shine to reveal the perpetual truth of All that Is.

  • QUOTE: I, Nichiren, have inscribed my life in sumi ink, so believe in the Gohonzon with your whole heart. The Buddhas will is the Lotus Sutra, but the soul of Nichiren is nothing other than Nam-myoho-renge-kyo. Miao-lo states in his commentary that the heart of this sutra is the revelation of the Buddhas original enlightenment and his immeasurable life span--Reply to Kyo

  • ok I've chanted this and I admit it seems to work, at least the bad feelings subside. But how do I know it's the chant itself and not just some sounds randomly thrown together that's making me feel better?

IOW couldn't I have reached the same result if I had made up a chant like, "abracadabra goobledygook" and repeated it over and over again for a half hour? Wouldn't saying that be the same thing?

  • Yeah, they are totally closed about anything but their brand of religion, everything else is irrelevant.

  • sublimesublima:

You could say the same thing about the MS Lutherans. I was lassoed into joining their denomination by my aunt & uncle, they are very closed - minded & dogmatic, just like you say the Nichiren sect is.

  • Nichiren revealed that in the Latter Day of the Law, the complete final highest sutra for all Buddhists in the world to practise NOW is the one and only Wonderful Law Lotus Sutra(Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo), restoring the original message of the founder Shakyamuni Buddha. He proved it with his entire life 780 yrs ago despite severe persecutions. Pls visit SGI website to get connection to the pure flow of the Law.

  • This is 1 of the best Videos i have seen On Nichiren Buddhism .

Greatly explained and well done , Thumbs up ;)

    i Practice myself , 30 min morning , 30 min evening ,

Also expediant means and life span chapters ofc :)

    keep inspiring the people ,

  • cont'd.

    And I KNOW it's true.

I am a Hebrew Christian Buddhist.

I feel like the wealthiest person that ever lived, spiritually speaking!

    Beautiful video, just perfect message!

  • No offense intended, but the core of Judaism is incompatible with Buddhist and Christian philosophy. That's why Christ was so prominent in the first place. He was the reformer of Judaism, just as Siddhartha Gautama was a reformer of Hinduism.

I just don't see how any Hebrew philosophy can be compatible with Buddhism or even Christian philosophy.

  • I assure you, they are completely compatible, notwithstanding that Christ did indeed come as a reformer. I'll be happy to go into detail if you'll send me a private message -- just clik on my name.

Mitzvah! it all has to do with the CORE teachings of these faiths (not mention most others), which is the entire point of all these faiths!

  • This is truly the essence of all faiths, which has been largely lost over time due to intervention by humans, obscuring the deeper core teachings of all those faiths.

Cause & Effect, The Golden Rule, sow what you reap -- they are all the same.

We must peel away these layers of obscurity that blind us to all truth, regardless what type of practice appeals to us. God said it. Christ said it. All the prohets said it. Nichiren Daishonin said it.

  • It truly is a fantastic practice im so glad i was introduced to it, it has made me grow into a better human being and is a truly beautiful philosophy....

  • That video was amazing!!! I loved it!!

  • NAM MYOHO RENGE KYO

  • i love buddism

    its such a peacful,spirtual religion

  • @natalieanderson2008

i don't think buddhism is really a religion, i think its more a teaching.

  • awesome guys, great job, REALLY great job, thank you so much

  • Very expressive of the true nature of Nichiren Buddhism

  • Love this Video and like the Info

  • The time will come when the Mystic Law alone will flourish throughout the land. In that time, because all people chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo together,The world will become as it was in the ages of Fu Hsi and Shen Nung in ancient China. Disasters will be driven from the land, and the people will be rid of misfortunes. They will also learn the art of living long, fulfilling lives." - Nichiren Daishonin.

Rely on The Law and not on Hierarchies
