I didn't learn any German at all. What you're hearing here is me just mimicking the original vocals as much as I can. I still missed a few words, like not enough emphasis on "horrorschau" and accidentally saying "blisschen" instead of "bisschen" once. I think I'm saying "ein" wrong too. Should sound more like "Ayn" (as in Ayn Rand) rather than "ehn".

Oh I very much like my Promised Land video aesthetically and think it's the best presentation of the videos I've done for this challenge. Even so, it didn't take nearly as much study and practice as Hier Kommt Alex.

So like did you have to keep playing the song or did you actually go to wikipedia or something to study the words?

I did both. Grabbed a copy of the lyrics online, then YouTubed the official music video to study the pronunciation. Then went to the game and practiced - and went back to YouTube - and practiced some more. Then recording the video over and over until I got a relatively clean run, which is what I ended up posting.

It's not a competition. It's a community project featuring some of the best Rock Band vocalists where we showcase our singing skills. A lot of people seem to think that all Rock Band vocalists can't sing properly or just hum all the time, so we're producing videos which feature only our voices without assistance from the original vocal track to prove that we can, indeed, sing.
