Watching this movie changed my life. I must have repeated it more than 10 times even tho i understood it from the begining. It changed the way i see the world. After I was done with this film I got interested in Ryan Reynolds films. The thing I love about him and his films is as he says : "I want to make films I would like to see on TV"
Doesn't just stick to one type of films like action, comedy, etc.
Fireflies in the garden is kinda story of my life so it really consumed me watching it
at first i thought the movie was weird.. and never really understood what was happening, but in the end it was all worth it, it was an incredible movie and im sure you have never seen anything like this before :D
He was a nine who had the ability to create and destroy worlds. (Humans are 7, Koalas are 8 and Gods are ten) . His many lives were overlapping and he forgot who he was and whats real. He started getting very attached to the bigger lady in the last part and the blonde lady wanted to detach them cuz thats not where he belongs. He left because he knew what was right. He made everything peaceful again. Brillliant movie! AND YES I COULD BE WRONG BUT I KNOW THAT ITS ANYONES INTERPRETATION
Ryan really did a number on this film. For those who thought he couldn't act, this really proved them wrong. I was shocked how well he did, it's a really good movie.
the best way to understand a mind blowing movie like this is to watch the last 20 minutes first then watch the whole movie from beggining till the end

my grandfather and i watched this for the first time last night....all i can say is WOW!!! this is a film that really sticks with you!! after the movie my grandfather and i sat there in stunned silence for about 5 minutes...aftrer that we shared theories....EVERYONE NEEDS TO THIS FILM!!!
Weird thing is that I saw a few clips from this (some part about Melissa and conflict in the restaurant) on a computer at Art Center College of Design... Any reason why? It's really interesting to see some of these clips unedited though. Real insight!

This trailer does not do the film justice. The plot structure reminds me a lot of Mulholland Drive and has a somewhat Agatha Christie type ending. I will definitely need to watch it again. I'm somewhat creeped me out but feeling a little confused too haha.

It almost makes you think that the movie would be good, but there is where you make a mistake. I mean, I'm normally into the kind of psychological, philosophical, or what ever this movie is supposed to be, but it was boring, too confusing and too simple at the same time, and really didn't know what to do with itself.

I watched this last night. Although at first I was very confused I feel you have to think about it for a while after it's over, let it soak in and come together in your mind. It's not really an "oh I get it now" ending, you have to develop it yourself. You can't really say there is one explanation. It really comes down to your own interpretation. That's my opinion anyway. Still, fair dues to Reynolds. Top work. I really think he should be a serious actor rather than do comedy work all the time.

This film makes sense right at the end when you realise that he's actually jesus! All humans are "7", hes a "9" and God is a "10". All 3 stages of the film is him trying to experience different types of human life. Act 1= drugs and destruction. Act 2= success. Act 3= family life. Watch again and see for yourself. ;))
And how do you explain when Sierra (i think) say that he is only one of the nines? it means that exists a lots of nines... Even you conclusion is interesting (about Jesus) i dont think it's right, and there's another fact, she said that they exists for 4.000yrs, Jesus just exists for 2.000

This movie is amazing! The way it is split up into sections really makes it a giant puzzle to figure it out. I've seen this movie about four times and there's always new ways to look at this movie. It's almost startling and eye opening when you finally understand this awesome film. Very philosophical, metaphysically and ethically speaking.
it was a very good movie, very good it makes you think very deep. Ryan did an excellent job, so did the other two i totally forget their names at the moment.

For all those who didn't get the film (this trailer didn't give the film any more sense...): The character Ryan Reynolds is playing is an addictive video game player. He's inside his own world....you see how the main characters in the movie are given alternate names? He's trying to "create" his own world, but everytime, they keep getting destroyed.
But to be honest, it's up for interpretation. I just hate the idea of a religious theme.

This trailer does not do the film justice. The plot structure reminds me a lot of Mulholland Drive and has a somewhat Agatha Christie type ending. I will definitely need to watch it again. I'm somewhat creeped me out but feeling a little confused too haha.

This trailer is absolutely amazing.
It almost makes you think that the movie would be good, but there is where you make a mistake. I mean, I'm normally into the kind of psychological, philosophical, or what ever this movie is supposed to be, but it was boring, too confusing and too simple at the same time, and really didn't know what to do with itself.

i saw this movie about year and a half ago, and although it lost me at the ending a bit, oth as i was confused and as it was just a bit.. idk, long? it really stuck with me. i often think about the movie, and ryan reynolds was really shining in this movie. i think he's a underrated actor. i hope to see him in more roles like this!

I watched this last night. Although at first I was very confused I feel you have to think about it for a while after it's over, let it soak in and come together in your mind. It's not really an "oh I get it now" ending, you have to develop it yourself. You can't really say there is one explanation. It really comes down to your own interpretation. That's my opinion anyway. Still, fair dues to Reynolds. Top work. I really think he should be a serious actor rather than do comedy work all the time.

This film makes sense right at the end when you realise that he's actually jesus! All humans are "7", hes a "9" and God is a "10". All 3 stages of the film is him trying to experience different types of human life. Act 1= drugs and destruction. Act 2= success. Act 3= family life. Watch again and see for yourself. ;))

This movie is amazing! The way it is split up into sections really makes it a giant puzzle to figure it out. I've seen this movie about four times and there's always new ways to look at this movie. It's almost startling and eye opening when you finally understand this awesome film. Very philosophical, metaphysically and ethically speaking.

it was a very good movie, very good it makes you think very deep. Ryan did an excellent job, so did the other two i totally forget their names at the moment.

For all those who didn't get the film (this trailer didn't give the film any more sense...): The character Ryan Reynolds is playing is an addictive video game player. He's inside his own world....you see how the main characters in the movie are given alternate names? He's trying to "create" his own world, but everytime, they keep getting destroyed.
But to be honest, it's up for interpretation. I just hate the idea of a religious theme.
