just one problem, i loved this mini-movie, but one thing i would like to have seen: in the story, he was a bit calmer, he would've been twitching and stuff before he broke down, not break down automatically. maybe the heartbeat could get more intense during the questioning at the apartment, on a whole, incredibly well done, love the scenery, which is hard to find with non-pro movies.

Why are people so critical? What is a modern adaptation supposed to be...sitting on a chair reciting the story? I thought this was pretty good. I think my students will connect to it. I guess my comment would be the question of madness. The actor is almost putting it across as an ironic statement and in a mocking manner, but the original story had the man quite insistent and genuine about not being mad.

This is pretty good. Well acted, shot, lit and directed. Not as good as Steven Berkoff's filmed adaptation of this Poe story, but still pretty good. The biggest problem is that the film alters from Poe's text. Why bother? The story is perfection. Why alter perfection? That's the main problem with it. Still, despite the flaws it is a pretty decent film.
